Before confirming, make sure the destination supports the exact asset on the selected network and enter any required memo or tag: Robinhood says transfers are final and cannot be reversed.
How to send crypto from Robinhood
- In Robinhood Crypto, open the detail page for the cryptocurrency you want to send.
- Select Send and paste the receiving wallet or exchange address.
- Enter the amount. If the destination requires a memo or tag, enter it as well. For example, Robinhood notes that XRP deposits require a numeric tag.
- Select Review. Check the asset, destination, network, fee estimate, and final amount.
- If everything is correct, select Submit.
Robinhood requires identity verification before crypto transfers are enabled. Its review is typically quick, but may take up to five business days, according to Robinhood’s Crypto transfers help page.
Check the address, network, and memo before submitting
A valid-looking address is not enough: the receiving wallet or exchange must support that exact asset on the network you select. Sending through an incompatible network can permanently lose the funds. Confirm the address and network with the destination service, and use its current deposit instructions.
- Match the asset and network on both sides of the transfer.
- Include any required memo or tag. A missing or incorrect field can prevent the destination from crediting a deposit.
- Send only to a wallet or recipient you know and trust.
- If practical, consider sending a small test amount first. This is a precaution, not a Robinhood requirement; it may involve another network fee.
Robinhood says crypto transfers are final: once sent, they cannot be canceled or reversed, even by Robinhood. Its supported assets and networks can change, so check the current in-app options and Robinhood’s help page rather than relying on an old list. Robinhood’s guide, for example, describes USDC support on several networks and XRP withdrawals on XRPL, with a numeric tag required for receiving XRP.

What does it cost to send crypto?
Robinhood says it does not charge an additional fee to send crypto, but an on-chain network fee applies. The amount varies by asset and network activity, and Robinhood shows an estimate before you submit. The destination may also charge its own fees, so check its terms separately.
- For an ordinary send, Robinhood says the network fee is added to the requested send amount.
- With Send All, the fee is deducted from the total balance being sent.
- For ERC-20 withdrawals on Ethereum, Robinhood says it calculates the ETH network fee and debits the token balance, so you do not need an ETH balance for that transfer.
Why can’t you withdraw all your crypto?
Robinhood’s withdrawal limits depend on account factors, including verification, transaction history, and payment methods, and limits can change. There is no single limit that applies to every account. Check the withdrawal limit shown in your app. If transfers are not enabled, complete the identity verification Robinhood requires.

How long does a Robinhood crypto transfer take?
Timing depends on network confirmations and Robinhood’s security review. Robinhood says that under ordinary conditions a transfer can take up to a few hours to be credited; a security review is often only a few minutes but can take longer in rare cases. These are estimates, not a guaranteed arrival time. Verification review to enable transfers may take up to five business days.
Choosing and checking a destination
You can send to a compatible exchange or an external wallet, including a self-custody wallet. Before choosing, confirm that it accepts the precise asset and network, whether it requires a memo or tag, and whether it charges a deposit or later withdrawal fee. A hardware crypto wallet is one possible self-custody destination, not a requirement for making a transfer; check its supported assets and networks before sending.
