How can you get free Amazon gift cards?
The practical answer is to check Amazon’s own programs and offers, then read the conditions before taking part. The two official routes described here are Amazon Shopper Panel and individual Amazon Shop & Earn promotions. A reward is conditional on eligibility and completing the activity the offer specifies; it is not a universal or guaranteed gift-card code.

Amazon Shopper Panel
Amazon Shopper Panel is an opt-in rewards program for a limited number of customers age 18 or older in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, and Japan. You can check the app for availability or join a waitlist if there is no open spot. Amazon says participation and the number of offers are limited and may change. Depending on availability and eligibility, participants can share qualifying receipt images or data, answer surveys, and take part in ad verification. Amazon says receipt sharing can earn up to $10 per month; the reward varies by retailer type, and receipts shared after reaching the monthly cap do not carry over. Survey rewards vary, and the amount is shown before you decide whether to complete a survey. Receipt offers are limited and may change each month. [c002]

Amazon issues eligible rewards monthly, generally within the first 48 hours of the following month. For each month’s rewards, participants choose either an Amazon Balance credit or a charitable donation. This means the program may provide Amazon spending value, but it does not always result in a gift-card code you can give to someone else. [c002]

Configured Amazon promotions
Amazon Shop & Earn terms describe promotions that specify an action for eligible customers to complete. A reward may include an Amazon.com Gift Card, but the promotion’s own conditions determine who qualifies and what reward is offered. These terms establish that conditional promotions can exist; they do not establish that a particular promotion is open to every customer now. Read the offer terms before acting. Are free Amazon gift card codes real?
Legitimate Amazon rewards may provide value after you qualify for a program or complete an offer. That is different from a stranger or website promising a guaranteed code in exchange for a fee, your account credentials, a claim code, or sensitive information. Amazon warns about pressure, urgency, too-good-to-be-true offers, and surveys that seek sensitive details such as banking information. [c001] [c007]

Amazon says gift-card transactions take place through its checkout and advises customers not to pay people or businesses with gift cards. Its safety guidance states: “We will never ask you to purchase a gift card, and no legitimate sale or transaction will require you to pay with gift cards.” [c004]
Amazon reported that 28% of Amazon impersonation scams reported by its customers globally in 2025 involved attempts to gain access to customer accounts. That figure concerns impersonation scams generally, not free gift-card offers specifically. [c006]

How to spot and avoid gift-card scams
- Do not pay to claim a reward. A demand to buy a gift card or pay someone with one is a warning sign, not a legitimate way to get free value. [c004]
- Never share a claim code with a stranger or third-party merchant. Amazon Pay warns that third-party merchants should not receive Amazon.com Gift Card claim codes as payment, and says Amazon Pay will not invoice customers asking for gift-card payment. [c007]
- Be wary of urgency or guaranteed rewards. Pressure to act immediately and offers that sound too good to be true are among Amazon’s listed warning signs. [c001]
- Do not give a survey sensitive information. Amazon specifically warns against fake surveys asking for information such as banking details. [c001]
- Verify messages independently. Go directly to Amazon.com or open the Amazon app rather than clicking a suspicious message link or using contact details included in that message. [c004]

- Confirm it is an Amazon source. Open the Amazon app or navigate to Amazon directly; do not rely on an unsolicited message or a link it supplies. [c004]
