To cancel a subscription charged to your Cash App Card, cancel it directly with the company providing the service. Cash App’s payment controls can limit some future charges, but they do not end the subscription. Start with the merchant, then use Cash App controls only as an additional payment measure if needed.
1. Find the subscription charge
Open Cash App and check the Activity tab to identify the merchant and match the charge to the service. Review the transaction details if the name on the charge is unfamiliar. If you still cannot identify it or believe there is an account error, contact Cash App through in-app support or its published support number, 1-800-969-1940. Cash App identifies that as its only support phone number.
2. Cancel with the merchant
Use the merchant’s cancellation procedure, such as its website, app, or customer support channel, and keep the cancellation confirmation. The merchant’s policy governs cancellation of a Cash App Pay purchase, and Cash App directs customers to the merchant to resolve existing subscriptions and recurring charges. A Cash App payment control is not a substitute for cancelling the service.
3. Know what Cash App’s payment controls do

Cash App’s U.S. Terms of Service state: “Blocking a Merchant does not cancel existing subscriptions, recurring charges, or outstanding account balances.” The terms also state: “You do not have the right to stop payment on a transaction originated with your Cash App Card.” The latter applies in the context of Cash App’s card terms; it does not make locking a card a way to cancel a service or resolve an existing obligation.

4. If the subscription uses Afterpay
For a subscription structured through the Cash App Afterpay online-checkout agreement, contact the merchant to cancel under its policies and unlink the merchant from Linked Businesses in Cash App. If Afterpay has already paid a subscription payment before cancellation is processed with enough time for it to act, the agreement says you remain responsible for applicable payment obligations. 5. If a charge continues or looks wrong
- Check the merchant’s confirmation and cancellation policy to verify whether cancellation was completed.
- Contact the merchant about charges tied to an existing subscription or balance.
- For a Cash App account error, use in-app support or call 1-800-969-1940. Cash App support can assist with Cash App account issues; it does not cancel the merchant’s service for you.
