To apply for a Standard Chartered Bank India credit card, choose a card on the bank’s India website, complete the online application and verify it by OTP. An “Approval in Principle” is conditional—not final approval. The bank says final approval follows validation of KYC and other requested documents. If approved, you may be able to access virtual card details through Internet Banking before a physical card arrives.
How the Standard Chartered India credit card application works
- Choose a card. Start on Standard Chartered Bank India’s credit card listing and review the current card-specific benefits and terms. The listing includes the EaseMyTrip Credit Card, but advertised travel offers may have conditions and can change.
- Complete the online form. Enter the information requested for the card you selected.
- Verify the application by OTP. Use the one-time password sent to your registered mobile number to complete the application verification.
- Complete KYC and submit requested documents. Follow the instructions shown during the application and document-collection stages.
- Wait for validation and the final decision. The bank says it validates document-based facts before making a final approval decision.
- Check for virtual card access, if approved. The issuer says eligible customers can access virtual details through Internet Banking before physical-card delivery.
The issuer’s application guidance describes the initial indication this way: “Approval in Principle depends on customer declared information during application stage – Final approval is subject to validation of document based facts provided during document collection stage.” In other words, treat an initial indication as provisional until the bank confirms its final decision. What eligibility and documents should you prepare?
The reviewed India application page does not establish one universal age, income, residency, credit-score, or document checklist for every card. Requirements can depend on the specific product and application. Use the checklist shown on the selected card’s current application path, and contact the bank if any requirement is unclear. Do not rely on eligibility details published for Standard Chartered in another country.
The bank’s help index lists support topics including applications, fees and charges, credit limits, OTPs, and statements. It can help direct you to the relevant support information: Standard Chartered Bank India help.
