What Krispy Kreme offered
Free doughnut for wearing green
Krispy Kreme said guests wearing green could get one Green O’riginal Glazed doughnut free on March 16 or 17, 2026, in-shop or through the drive-thru. No purchase was necessary. The company also offered Green O’riginal Glazed dozens for $12 on those two dates. Krispy Kreme’s March 9 announcement described the promotion.

#1 Best Overall
- Shooting Shamrock: an Original Glazed doughnut with green vanilla icing and shamrock sugar.
- Over the Rainbow: a filled shell with light-green icing, rainbow sprinkles and a rainbow sugar decoration.
- Plaid Party: an Original Glazed doughnut with vanilla icing and green drizzle.
- Chocolate Iced with St. Patrick’s Sprinkles.
Krispy Kreme said the collection could be ordered for in-shop pickup and delivery through its app or website. Some varieties were also slated to appear in six-packs at select retailers; availability depended on location.
Chance to win doughnuts for a year
Krispy Kreme said it would randomly select 4,000 guests for a “Lucky You Golden Dozen Pass.” Each selected guest was to receive one dozen Original Glazed doughnuts per month from April 2026 through March 2027. This was a sweepstakes, not a guaranteed free dozen for everyone; the company’s official rules governed entry and eligibility.

What 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes offered
7NOW delivery discount
7-Eleven, Inc.’s March 11 announcement said 7NOW customers could take $17 off an order of $30 or more with promo code LUCKY7 on March 17, 2026. Delivery taxes and applicable fees remained payable, and delivery was limited to service areas. The company directed customers to the app for full terms. See the 7-Eleven, Inc. announcement.
Other offers in the company announcement
The same release listed additional promotions at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes:
Rank #3
- $1 snacks: for 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members, March 9–31, 2026, plus tax where applicable.
- Free small Slurpee: with the purchase of any 7-Select Replenish beverage, March 2–April 28, 2026, subject to tax where applicable.
- Two Replenish drinks for $3.50: a Cherry Piña Colada offer was mentioned, but the announcement excerpt did not specify its end date. It should not be treated as a March 17-only deal.
What Burger King offered
AARP reported on March 12, 2026, that Royal Perks members could get a large order of onion rings for $2 on March 17 through the BK app or bk.com at participating locations. This was a discounted purchase, not free food. The reported terms come from AARP’s dated roundup; the available reporting does not establish a matching Burger King announcement.

Of these headline promotions, only Krispy Kreme’s green-attire doughnut was free without a purchase. Burger King’s onion rings cost $2 and required Royal Perks membership. The 7NOW promotion reduced a qualifying order by $17, but required a minimum $30 order and left taxes and applicable delivery fees to pay. The other 7-Eleven group offers likewise had purchase, membership or tax conditions.
Rank #4
7-Eleven’s announcement explicitly included Speedway and Stripes. Other chains appeared in broader March deal roundups, but specific official terms for additional promotions are not established here, so they are not listed as confirmed offers.
