That range comes from a Sky estimate reported by t-online in June 2024; Bayern has not confirmed it. It also predates the contract extension Bayern announced in October 2025, and public information does not establish whether his pay changed.
What is Kompany’s reported Bayern salary?
The best-supported public estimate is €7 million to €9 million gross annually, including possible bonuses. t-online attributed the figure to Sky in a report published on 1 June 2024; FussballTransfers also reproduced Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg’s estimate as gross annual pay with possible add-ons. These are reported estimates, not an official salary disclosure.
The range does not show how much is guaranteed as base pay, what bonus conditions apply, or what Kompany takes home after tax. It should not be read as a confirmed net salary or as proof that he receives the top of the range.
Is that still his current pay after the 2025 extension?
Bayern announced on 21 October 2025 that Kompany’s contract had been extended through 30 June 2029. The club’s announcement gave the new term but no salary figure. Its official profile lists him as head coach, says he joined on 1 July 2024, and gives the same contract end date.

The €7 million to €9 million estimate dates from 2024, before that extension. The available public information does not establish whether the 2025 deal changed his compensation, so the range cannot be verified as his current pay.
What was the £10.2 million figure?
The £10.2 million reported in May 2024 was compensation Bayern was to pay Burnley for Kompany’s move. BBC Sport and The Guardian reported it as a club-to-club fee. It was not Kompany’s annual salary or a payment to him personally.
