Ryan Seacrest has been reported to earn $28 million per season for hosting Wheel of Fortune, but that figure has not been confirmed by Sony or Seacrest in the sources reviewed. Sony announced a multiyear hosting deal beginning in 2024 without disclosing its financial terms.
Where the $28 million figure comes from
TV Insider reported on August 6, 2025, that Radar Online put Seacrest’s pay at $28 million per season, citing an unnamed source close to him: TV Insider’s report. ComingSoon repeated the same estimate in September 2024 and also attributed it to Radar Online: ComingSoon’s report. Because both accounts trace the number to the same outlet and an unnamed source, they are not independent confirmation of the underlying contract.

The available sources do not verify Seacrest’s actual contract compensation, payment schedule, bonuses, or whether the reported $28 million includes his consulting-producer duties. They also do not support treating the estimate as his annual income from all work, his American Idol pay, or his net worth.
