US PlayStation Plus Premium prices by duration
Sony’s US listing shows three subscription durations. The 12-month option is the lowest-cost way to pay for 12 consecutive months using the durations shown on the page.

Sony labels the annual option “33% off” compared with paying monthly for 12 consecutive months through the available plan durations. What the annual price means for your budget
The $159.99 price is a US listed amount, not a worldwide price. Taxes and the final amount charged are not specified on the cited listing; check the total shown at checkout. For another country or an account with a special offer, use the price displayed in that region’s PlayStation Store or account before purchasing.

Compare the cost across the period you expect to subscribe, rather than looking only at the payment size. The annual plan means one larger payment every 12 months; shorter plans spread payments across the year but cost more for 12 consecutive months at the listed rates.
Renewal and cancellation
Sony says the subscription continues until canceled and charges the recurring subscription fee automatically. Check your account’s subscription-management settings for the next payment date and cancellation controls. Canceling stops future renewal; it does not change the listed price of the plan you purchased.

What Premium adds
Premium includes benefits such as the Classics Catalog, game trials, and cloud streaming, in addition to shared PlayStation Plus benefits. Sony notes that the game library changes over time and varies by tier, so the current catalog is not a fixed promise of what will remain available. Whether those extras justify the annual expense depends on which features you will use and the titles currently available to you. Consider that alongside your preferred billing cadence and the price shown in your account.

Upgrading to Premium from another tier
If you already have another PlayStation Plus tier, the charge to upgrade may be prorated based on the price difference between tiers and the time left on your subscription. Sony’s US support example uses $159.99 as Premium’s standard annual price, but says the example’s 12-month prices are illustrative. The amount in your own account is the relevant upgrade offer.
