The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders announced a 400% pay increase in 2025, but the exact new hourly, game-day, appearance, or annual rates have not been publicly disclosed in the sources reviewed. The team describes the role as part-time hourly employment, not a published annual-salary position. That means there is no reliable current dollar figure to report as a DCC cheerleader’s salary.
How much do Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders make?
The current pay schedule is not public. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ official audition FAQ describes the job as a “part-time, hourly employment opportunity” and says compensation follows a schedule for rehearsals, home games, promotional appearances, and shows. The page names those paid work categories but does not provide rates. Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders audition FAQ.
As a result, an exact current hourly rate, game payment, or annual total cannot be confirmed from public figures cited by the Associated Press and TIME. An annual estimate would require the undisclosed rates as well as a defined number of paid hours and appearances.
Did the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders get a 400% raise?
Yes. The Associated Press reported in 2025 that the cheerleaders announced a 400% pay increase. Megan McElaney, a four-year veteran, said, “And we ended up getting a 400% increase, which is like, life-changing.” The report did not state the new pay rates. Nor did it define the calculation base, so the percentage alone should not be converted into a current salary estimate or treated as an exact multiplier of a known rate. Associated Press report.

How much do DCC cheerleaders make per game?
The current game-day amount has not been publicly disclosed in the cited reporting. The official FAQ says the team performs at approximately 10 home games, but does not give a per-game rate. Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders audition FAQ.
For historical context only, TIME reported that a 2019 settlement after Erica Wilkins’s lawsuit raised game-day pay from $200 to $400. The Associated Press also reported that historical increase. Those figures describe the 2019 change, not the current rate. TIME’s report on the 2019 settlement; Associated Press report.

What work is paid, and how much time does it involve?
The official FAQ identifies rehearsals, home games, promotional appearances, and shows as work covered by a pay schedule. It describes rehearsals from late July through the football season, generally three to four times per week for two to three hours each, and approximately 10 home-game performances. It also says other appearances and related rehearsals are paid opportunities and optional. The rules page separately describes two to five mandatory rehearsals per week before the season; that preseason schedule should not be confused with the FAQ’s in-season description. Neither page publishes the dollar rates. Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders audition FAQ; Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders audition rules.
The FAQ also says basic uniform and rehearsal attire are provided. That detail does not establish the role’s total compensation or benefits. Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders audition FAQ.

What to compare when evaluating cheerleading pay
A headline rate or annual estimate can mislead if it combines different types of work or assumes a workload that has not been established. For a useful comparison between teams, check that the figures cover the same period and categories:
