How 2025 compares with recent years
Lockheed Martin said the 2025 total exceeded the previous annual delivery record of 142 aircraft, which its historical delivery table assigns to 2021. The company’s figures show deliveries rising from 98 in 2023 to 110 in 2024, before reaching 191 in 2025.

These are manufacturer-reported annual delivery counts. Lockheed Martin announced the 2025 record on January 7, 2026, and its January 29, 2026 full-year results separately reported 191 deliveries in 2025 and 110 in 2024. Annual deliveries versus total production deliveries
The 191 figure is for deliveries during 2025. It is distinct from the program’s cumulative total: Lockheed Martin’s 2025 annual report says 1,293 production F-35s had been delivered through December 31, 2025. That total spans the program’s production deliveries through that date; it is not the number delivered in 2025 alone. The figure appears in the company’s 2025 annual report.

What the delivery figure does—and does not—show
Lockheed Martin’s January 7, 2026 announcement described 2025 as a record year and said the 191 deliveries surpassed the earlier record of 142. The count answers how many aircraft the manufacturer reported delivering during the calendar year. It does not establish how many are in service or operational, and the cited company disclosures do not provide an independent audit of the delivery count.
