Oracle’s September 10, 2026 guidance of $8.10 in FY2027 non-GAAP earnings per share would make $900 about 111 times that forward estimate—a simple ratio, not a price forecast. Here is what could support the scenario, and what investors would need to weigh against it.
What does a $900 share price imply?
A share price alone does not show whether a stock is cheap or expensive. One useful starting point is the price-to-earnings ratio: share price divided by earnings per share. Using Oracle’s FY2027 non-GAAP EPS guidance of $8.10, $900 divided by $8.10 is approximately 111. That means a $900 price would equal about 111 times the guided earnings per share, if the company achieved that estimate.
The $8.10 figure is Oracle’s forward-looking guidance, not a reported result, and it is non-GAAP rather than GAAP earnings. The calculation also does not supply a time horizon, a current share price, or a full valuation model. Oracle’s reported figures do not verify the starting price implied by “3x,” so this article treats the title as a hypothetical scenario rather than a prediction that shares will triple.
What could support a bullish scenario?
Rapid growth in cloud infrastructure
Oracle reported Q1 FY2027 revenue of $19.3 billion, up 30% year over year. Total cloud revenue was $11.6 billion, up 62%. Within that, cloud infrastructure revenue reached $7.4 billion, up 121%, while cloud applications revenue was $4.2 billion, up 10%. These company-reported results show sharply different growth rates across Oracle’s cloud businesses; the infrastructure growth rate is the more immediate evidence for the AI-cloud growth case. A large pool of contracted business
Oracle reported $664 billion in remaining performance obligations (RPO) at the end of Q1 FY2027, an increase of $209 billion year over year. It also said it booked more than $30 billion of additional AI cloud contracts in the quarter. RPO represents contracted obligations to deliver goods or services in the future; it is not current revenue, guaranteed profit, or proof that all contracts will convert on schedule. For the stock case, the important question is how quickly Oracle can deliver the contracted services and recognize revenue from them.
Management expects further growth
Oracle’s September 2026 release guided to at least $90 billion in total FY2027 revenue and $8.10 in non-GAAP EPS. Those figures are management estimates, not achieved results. A bullish case would require Oracle to execute well enough to meet or exceed its targets and convert growth into earnings per share, not merely expand company-wide revenue.

Why demand may not turn into earnings quickly
Capacity and delivery are constraints
Oracle said, “Customer demand for AI Cloud Training and Inferencing Services continues to grow faster than supply.” It reported delivering 850 MW of additional data-center capacity in Q1 FY2027 and more than 300,000 GPUs to AI cloud customers since the end of Q4. Those are meaningful additions, but demand outpacing supply means the company must keep building and bring capacity online to serve more customers. Data-center construction, energy, equipment availability, and execution all affect how much demand can become delivered service.
RPO still has to convert
A contract backlog can signal future business, but the size of RPO alone does not establish when revenue will be recognized or what margins those contracts will produce. Investors assessing the growth story can compare infrastructure growth with application growth, then follow whether new capacity and GPU deliveries are accompanied by revenue growth and realized earnings.

Cash demands and dilution matter to per-share returns
Infrastructure growth has a cash cost
For FY2026, Oracle reported $67.4 billion in total revenue, up 17%, and $34.0 billion in cloud revenue, up 39%. It also reported $32.0 billion in operating cash flow but negative $23.7 billion in free cash flow. The difference matters: rising revenue does not automatically mean cash remains after investment. Oracle’s infrastructure expansion requires substantial spending, so investors should watch whether growth eventually supports stronger free cash flow as well as higher earnings. (Oracle, FY2026 results, June 10, 2026.)
Stock issuance can fund investment but dilute existing holders
Oracle reported selling $20 billion of common stock through its at-the-market equity program during Q1 FY2027. Issuing shares can raise capital for investment, but it also increases the number of shares among which future earnings are divided. That makes per-share results important: company-wide revenue or profit growth does not necessarily translate into the same pace of growth for each share.

What investors should check before treating $900 as a target
- Use a timestamped share price. The $900 scenario cannot establish a 3× return without a verified starting price and a defined time period.
- Track delivered growth, not just contracts. Compare cloud infrastructure and applications growth, and watch for evidence that RPO is converting into delivered services and recognized revenue.
- Monitor execution and cash flow. Capacity additions, equipment and energy access, capital spending, and free cash flow help show whether demand can be served sustainably.
- Assess per-share earnings and financing. Consider future share count alongside earnings growth, especially after the reported stock sale.
- Revisit the valuation as results change. The roughly 111× ratio uses a specific forward non-GAAP EPS estimate. It would change with the share price or realized earnings, and does not substitute for a complete valuation analysis.
Oracle Investor Relations listed Q1 FY2027 as its latest reported quarter and scheduled Q2 FY2027 results for December 14, 2026. Earnings, guidance, financing, and market prices can change; the next results and a current quote are necessary inputs for reassessing the scenario.
