It excludes bonuses, image rights and employer National Insurance. The figures should not be treated as an agreed or officially confirmed salary.
Why Wright’s estimated Coventry wage is not a West Ham salary
Capology’s £35,000-a-week figure is an estimate of Wright’s gross fixed wages at Coventry for the 2026–27 season. It is not evidence that West Ham offered him that amount, would match it, or would pay a particular figure under a new contract. Any West Ham salary would depend on terms that have not been disclosed.
Gross fixed wages also are not the same as take-home pay. The estimate excludes bonuses; PSRwatch separately notes that its estimate excludes image rights and employer National Insurance. Neither figure establishes the full cost of a player’s compensation to a club.

What the West Ham reports actually say
West Ham links to both players appeared in reports from November and December 2025. A 27 November 2025 report by The West Ham Way, attributing an update to ExWHUEmployee, said the club had interest in Wright and more interest in Sargent, while also reporting that further work was wanted before deciding whether to proceed. Other reports from that period discussed them as possible targets: November 2025 coverage and December 2025 coverage.
Those are historical reports of possible interest, not an official club announcement or proof that West Ham are pursuing either player now. They do not establish a wage offer, agreed terms or a current transfer.

A reported transfer valuation is not a wage
A December 2025 secondary report repeated an alleged £20 million valuation for each player. That is a reported transfer value paid to a club, not money paid to a player as wages, and it does not reveal the salary West Ham might offer.
