On March 24, 2021, Growjo announced 500 New York City companies it described as the city’s fastest-growing. Its top ten included fintech, marketing, SaaS, healthcare, IT security, martech, and investment businesses. The ranking was based on multiple growth signals, not a published revenue-growth percentage: Growjo did not disclose the algorithm’s formula or factor weights in the announcement.
Who were the top 10 fastest-growing NYC companies?

Growjo said the full list covered 500 companies across industries including SaaS, fintech, healthcare, and real estate. Its CEO, Tom Blue, said the top ten represented seven industries, illustrating the range of businesses on the list.
How did Growjo rank companies?
Growjo described its award ranking as an algorithm using more than 20 growth indicators. The March 24, 2021 announcement identified these categories of signals:

The announcement did not publish the algorithm’s formula, the weight assigned to each factor, or a company-by-company calculation. A position on the list therefore should not be read as a specific revenue-growth rate, nor as an independently audited measure of financial performance.
Who was eligible, and did companies have to pay?
Growjo said listed companies had fewer than 1,000 employees. It also said inclusion did not require a submission or payment and that it did not charge a fee for inclusion. Growjo presented that no-fee approach as a reason the awards better represented growth; that is the publisher’s stated rationale, not an independently established finding.

How should readers interpret Growjo company data?
Growjo says its broader company data can draw on information submitted by companies, blog posts and news outlets, public-company quarterly reports, and its own algorithms. Some revenue values are estimates calculated using factors such as employee count, industry, country, and funding. A figure should therefore be treated according to its stated source: reported values and estimates are not interchangeable, and an estimate is not an audited result.
The announcement confirms the list size and names its top ten, but the available announcement text does not establish the complete ranking and underlying data for all 500 companies. Nor does it provide independent validation of the growth estimates. Readers using the list for business or financial decisions should verify a company’s current financial information from appropriate primary sources rather than infer results from its rank.
