Google One prices increased for subscriptions purchased from Google in Pakistan starting July 27, 2026. The new price took effect for new members on that date; existing subscribers faced the increase at renewal on dates that depend on their billing channel. Google has not published a complete Pakistan price table in its notice, so check the price and renewal date shown in your signed-in Google One account before deciding whether to keep or change your plan.
When the Google One price increase took effect in Pakistan
Google lists Pakistan among the countries and regions affected by its July 2026 price update. The timing depends on when you joined and how you pay:

Google says it notified affected members by email and displayed a banner in the Google One web experience or its Android and iOS apps. Its notice says increases vary by plan and country or regional currency; it does not state one percentage or amount for every Pakistani subscriber. Google’s price-update notice directs members to check their own plan price.
What Google One costs in Pakistan
Google’s official update confirms that prices changed, but it does not provide a full Pakistan price-by-plan table. During a review of the Pakistan-localized plans page, prices appeared in Indonesian rupiah rather than Pakistani rupees, so those displayed amounts are not usable as Pakistan prices. Check the rate attached to your signed-in account and billing channel before relying on a figure found elsewhere.

- ProPakistani reported on April 1, 2026, that Basic 100 GB would move from PKR 219 to PKR 419 per month. That report predates the July update and does not establish the current post-update price. Read ProPakistani’s report.
- PakEra reported on September 28, 2026, that Google’s Pakistan plans page showed PKR 250 per month for 30 GB, PKR 550 per month for 100 GB, and PKR 5,600 per month for the 5 TB Google AI Pro plan. These are secondary-reported prices; Google’s page did not render PKR during the review, so verify the price shown for your own account. Read PakEra’s report.
Google has not stated a reason for the increase in the cited notice. Avoid assuming a cause or applying one reported price to every user: plan, currency and billing details matter.
How to decide whether your plan is still worth it
Check your total Google storage use
Google One storage is shared across Google Photos, Drive and Gmail. A plan that seems larger than your Drive files alone may also be supporting photo backups, email attachments and other account data. Consider the AI benefits separately from storage
Some higher Google One tiers bundle Gemini and other AI features alongside storage. Compare the plan’s account-specific price with both your storage needs and whether you actually use those features; benefits differ by tier and availability. A storage-only option may suit someone who does not need the bundled AI tools.
Account for family sharing and switching costs
Eligible Basic and higher plans may be shared with up to five other people, subject to plan and benefit restrictions. If several people rely on the quota, compare the cost against the group’s combined use rather than one person’s files. A different cloud provider may have a lower price, but moving services does not automatically replace Google’s integrated storage for Gmail, Photos and Drive; consider compatibility and the effort of migrating data.

What to do if you do not want the new rate
For renewals on or after August 26, 2026, Google gives August 25 as the general cancellation deadline. Apple App Store monthly subscribers who do not want the new rate on or after August 23 should cancel by August 22. Confirm the renewal date and cancellation route for your own subscription in the account or store where you pay.
- Open Google One in the web experience or app, or manage the subscription through the app store that bills you.
- Check the plan, upcoming renewal date and price displayed for your account.
- If you decide to cancel or downgrade, review your storage use first and complete the change before the applicable deadline.
Google says paid benefits continue until the current billing cycle ends. Canceling does not itself mean stored content is immediately erased. However, if the account is above its remaining storage limit after the paid quota ends, Google warns that Drive, Gmail and Google Photos may be interrupted.
