Firefly Aerospace’s IPO is complete: the company priced its shares at $45 and began trading on Nasdaq as FLY in August 2025. The offering closed on August 8, 2025; it is not currently open to investors.

Firefly Aerospace IPO price, date and ticker

Firefly’s final IPO prospectus, dated August 6, 2025, set the offering price at $45 per share and said the common stock had been approved for listing on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker FLY. The company’s 2025 Form 10-K confirms the offering closed on August 8, 2025. Source: Firefly Aerospace’s final IPO prospectus and 2025 Form 10-K.

The final prospectus offered 19,296,000 shares and gave underwriters an option to buy up to 2,894,400 additional shares. The underwriters exercised that option. In total, 22.2 million shares were sold at $45 apiece. The aggregate offering value was $998.6 million; after underwriting discounts, commissions and offering costs, Firefly received $932.3 million. Those are different measures: the first is the total value of shares sold, while the second is the company’s net proceeds. Source: Firefly Aerospace’s 2025 Form 10-K.

What the IPO proceeds and offering meant

The IPO took Firefly public and raised capital for a space and defense technology company serving national security, government and commercial customers. In connection with the offering, outstanding preferred stock converted to common stock. Firefly also used part of the proceeds to repay term loans and a prepayment premium, according to its 2025 Form 10-K. Source: Firefly Aerospace’s 2025 Form 10-K.

The company stated its mission as “to enable responsive, regular, and reliable launch, transit, and operations in space for our customers across the globe.” Source: Firefly Aerospace’s August 6, 2025 final IPO prospectus.

What Firefly reported financially for 2025

It also reported a net loss of $298.340 million for 2025, compared with a net loss of $231.133 million in 2024. Revenue growth did not mean the company was profitable. Why a 2026 share filing is not a second IPO

An October 6, 2026 prospectus supplement concerns potential resales by holders of shares received in connection with Firefly’s acquisition of SciTec Innovations. It updates an existing resale prospectus and describes up to 11,111,116 shares that selling securityholders may offer. It is not a new IPO, and potential sales by those holders are not additional IPO proceeds to Firefly. The company’s common stock remains listed as FLY.
