ZipRecruiter’s search page offers examples such as work from home, part-time, full-time, and entry-level—but those are search ideas, not confirmation that a specific job is open near you.
How to search ZipRecruiter for jobs hiring now
- Enter a role or keyword. Use a specific title, such as “administrative assistant,” or a broader term such as “customer service.” If you are flexible, try a keyword that describes the work you want.
- Add your location. Search with a ZIP code or a city and state to focus on opportunities near you.
- Refine the search. Try terms such as “work from home,” “part-time,” “full-time,” or “entry-level” when those arrangements match what you are seeking.
- Review each listing. Check the employer, responsibilities, location, schedule, qualifications, and application instructions. Search examples and platform-wide posting totals do not establish that a particular listing is current, legitimate, or right for you.
ZipRecruiter says its searchable inventory includes 10M+ active postings available each day, based on the company’s internal monthly average for 2025. That is a company-reported figure, not an independent count of live openings relevant to your location.
What to check before applying
Role and employer details
Compare the stated duties and required qualifications with your experience, and confirm the employer and work location. If a listing is unclear about the employer, pay, schedule, or how to apply, seek clarification before sharing sensitive information.
Pay information
ZipRecruiter says it provides salary information. Treat any figure as a starting point: compensation can depend on the role, geography, experience, and employer. The reviewed ZipRecruiter pages do not explain enough about salary-data methodology to support a universal pay estimate.

#1 Best Overall
Applying through ZipRecruiter
ZipRecruiter promotes resume upload and faster applications, including one-tap applications for some jobs. Its pages also describe notifications when an application is reviewed or viewed. These are platform feature descriptions; they do not guarantee an employer will respond, offer an interview, or hire you.
Before submitting, make sure your resume is current and relevant to the role, and review the application details for accuracy. Follow the employer’s instructions if a listing requires steps beyond applying through ZipRecruiter.

After you apply
If you are invited to interview, ZipRecruiter’s job-seeker guide recommends reviewing common interview questions and practicing your answers. Prepare examples that show how your experience relates to the role, and think through questions you want to ask the employer.
