Nintendo says that select unreleased Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games can be preordered through Nintendo eShop; not every game is eligible. Its US Coming Soon page says a digital preorder enables preload and play when the game is released, but the title-level catalog available for this article did not show which games currently have an open US preorder. For a game eligible for an eShop preorder, Nintendo processes payment seven days before release. The game can preload if the console has enough storage, then a small update unlocks it at release. How to check a preorder before you spend
- Choose the region and format. Decide whether you want a physical copy or a digital eShop preorder. A listing in another region does not confirm local availability or date.
