What was the final date to register?

A July 4, 2025 report said the date had been postponed to July 18. That date was an interim update, not the final deadline subsequently recorded by RAC. Scroll’s July 4 report
What recruitment did Advertisement No. 156 cover?

DRDO later issued an addendum adding three Scientist B vacancies for the Department of Science and Technology (DST), bringing the advertised total to 155. The addendum also set special age and degree-class/division terms for those DST vacancies; it said other eligibility criteria, selection terms and the closing date remained unchanged. In particular, it stated that DST applicants did not need a particular class or division in the qualifying degree. DRDO addendum

RAC’s information says direct Scientist B applicants needed a valid GATE score in the relevant discipline. Age eligibility was determined as of July 4, 2025, even though the application deadline was later extended. RAC eligibility information RAC deadline listing
Because the deadline has passed, applicants cannot use this notice to submit a new application. Anyone looking for a current DRDO Scientist B opening should check RAC’s live notices rather than rely on this 2025 deadline. The cited deadline records do not establish the final result or completion status for every post.
