Macworld’s DealPost reports that Koofr’s 1TB lifetime-storage promotion costs $129.99 with code KOOFR and runs through October 11, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. The offer is sold through StackSocial, and the promotion page warns that prices can change, so confirm the price, code, and checkout terms before buying. This is a third-party promotion for Koofr storage—not an Apple migration tool or a guaranteed substitute for every iCloud feature.
What the Koofr deal includes—and what to verify
The Macworld DealPost page, sponsored by StackCommerce, describes a 1TB Koofr subscription as a lifetime offer for $129.99 using code KOOFR. It gives an expiration of October 11, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT. See the DealPost offer.
“Lifetime” is the promotion’s description; the available offer information does not explain the contractual meaning of that term or all redemption restrictions. Check the live checkout page for the precise terms and make sure the code is accepted before completing payment. The offer price is promotional, not Koofr’s standard list price.
How this differs from Koofr’s standard 1TB plan
Koofr’s official pricing page lists a separate 1TB tier at €10 per month and says paid subscriptions are currently billed yearly. Listed prices include 22% VAT, while the final price can vary by country. Check Koofr’s pricing page.
That standard tier is not a like-for-like price comparison with the $129.99 promotion: the currencies, billing terms, tax treatment, and offer inclusions differ. The pricing page does not establish that the standard plan has the same lifetime terms as the promotion.

What Koofr can do as a storage service
Koofr lists web, desktop, and mobile access, plus WebDAV and rclone support. Its official materials also describe desktop synchronization, mobile-media backup, connections to Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive, file-management tools, and recovery of deleted files for up to 30 days. These are provider descriptions, not an independent comparison with iCloud. See Koofr’s features and WebDAV documentation.
Those capabilities can make Koofr useful for storing and accessing files across different platforms. They do not establish that it automatically replaces iCloud workflows such as Apple-device backups, photo-library behavior, or Apple-specific sharing and syncing. Before switching, identify which iCloud data and features you rely on and confirm Koofr supports the workflow you need.

Understand the privacy and encryption options
Koofr says data is encrypted in transit and on its servers, and its features page describes TLS/SSL protection in transit and server-side encryption at rest. The company says its servers are hosted in Germany in ISO 27001-certified data centers. These are Koofr’s own statements, not findings from an independent security audit. Read Koofr’s security information.
Koofr Vault is a separate, client-side encrypted folder rather than a claim that every file stored in ordinary Koofr folders is client-side encrypted by default. Koofr’s help documentation says Vault is open source and included in all plans: “Koofr Vault is included in all Koofr plans.” Read the Vault documentation.

Know the WebDAV limits before choosing a workflow
Koofr says WebDAV supports uploading, downloading, copying, deleting, and moving files, but does not support synchronization or sharing through that connection. Koofr also notes that Windows’ default maximum file size for WebDAV uploads or downloads is 50 MB. That is a Windows client limitation identified in Koofr’s documentation—not a general Koofr file-size cap. Koofr separately says the service has no individual file-size limit when used generally. Review Koofr’s WebDAV guidance and file-size information.

The promotion may suit someone who wants 1TB of general-purpose cloud storage and is comfortable with Koofr’s apps, integrations, and storage model. It is not enough evidence to conclude Koofr is cheaper or better than iCloud for every user: the available sources do not provide a current, independently verified iCloud comparison, migration test, or performance and reliability measurements.
