The reported milestone is a required step before placing covered devices on the market in Great Britain, but it is not MHRA approval or endorsement. A sponsored NDTV Profit report published October 5, 2026, announced the registration; a device-specific entry was not independently confirmed in the MHRA’s public database.
What Lord’s Mark says it registered
According to the sponsored NDTV Profit report, the registration covers categories of IVD products rather than named models:
- Haematological cell analysers
- Clinical chemistry analysers
- Buffered sample diluents
- Instrument and analyser cleaning agents
The announcement does not identify trade names, model numbers, device classes or intended uses. It therefore does not establish which specific products are registered or their diagnostic capabilities. The company’s IVD catalogue provides catalogue context, but it is not evidence of the 2026 registration.
What MHRA registration does—and does not—mean
MHRA guidance requires medical devices, including IVDs, to be registered before they are placed on the Great Britain market: England, Wales and Scotland. Registration is a regulatory market-entry requirement, not accreditation, certification, product approval or endorsement by the MHRA. Calling the products “MHRA-approved” would overstate what the registration establishes. Northern Ireland follows different medical-device requirements, so the announcement alone does not establish that these IVDs can be placed on the Northern Ireland market. Likewise, a Great Britain registration does not confer market access in allied countries: each jurisdiction has its own applicable requirements. What the company says it plans next
NDTV Profit reported that Lord’s Mark planned to begin commercial IVD sales in the UK in December 2026, around two months earlier than its previous schedule, and to begin operating a pathology laboratory in January 2027. These are company plans reported on October 5, 2026—not completed milestones. The announcement does not provide product-level launch details or explain the laboratory’s planned scope.
The report quoted Dr. Sachidanand Upadhyay, the company’s MD and CEO: “Our recent MHRA registration for the Renalyx haemodialysis system opened an important door for us in the UK & UK allied markets. This latest registration for our IVD portfolio demonstrates that our ambition extends well beyond a single healthcare product. We are building a broader diagnostics and healthcare platform, with commercialisation now planned two months ahead of schedule, followed by the launch of our pathology laboratory in January 2027.” The statement describes the company’s strategy and intended timetable; it does not independently verify regulatory status or future outcomes.

How this fits with the separate Renalyx announcement
A September 2026 report described a separate registration announcement for Lord’s Mark’s Renalyx haemodialysis system and planned UK exports from January 2027. That dialysis development is distinct from the IVD portfolio registration and should not be read as evidence about the IVD products’ status.
