For many UK retailers, it was the final scheduled day of their main Black Friday promotion—but it was not a universal deadline. Amazon UK and John Lewis ran offers through Cyber Monday, while retailers including Currys, Argos and Very still had selected deals available afterwards.
This is a historical guide to the 2025 event. The prices below are examples recorded on or around 1 December 2025 and should not be treated as current offers in 2026.

What was Cyber Monday 2025 in the UK?
Black Friday was on Friday 28 November 2025, followed by Cyber Monday on Monday 1 December. Traditionally, Cyber Monday is the Monday after Black Friday and is associated with online shopping. In practice, UK retailers increasingly run one extended Black Friday campaign lasting several days or weeks.

John Lewis said its Black Friday offers would continue through Cyber Monday. Currys promoted Cyber Monday offers both online and in stores.

That makes “final day of Black Friday sales” a useful shopping headline, but an overly absolute description. It generally meant the final scheduled day of the headline event, not the last possible day to find a discount.
Did all the deals end on 1 December?
No. Some products sold out or returned to their previous price before Cyber Monday, while others remained discounted after it. Coverage on Tuesday 2 December found live offers at Amazon, Currys, Argos, Very and other retailers, with some promotions continuing until 3 December or beyond.
The practical distinction was:
- Scheduled end: Amazon’s Black Friday Week was due to finish on 1 December.
- Advertised continuation: John Lewis said its offers continued through Cyber Monday.
- Extended promotions: Currys, Argos, Very and other retailers still had selected offers after the date.
- Product-level expiry: an individual deal could end early because of stock, a time limit or a price change.
So the most accurate answer is: 1 December was the final scheduled day of the main Black Friday/Cyber Monday event at many retailers, but not a universal hard deadline. See the 2 December retailer coverage for the historical extension picture.
Notable Cyber Monday 2025 deal examples
The following prices were historical examples reported by TechRadar on 1 December 2025. They illustrate the types of reductions available, rather than current buying recommendations.

These reference prices should not automatically be interpreted as the products’ normal recent selling prices. A meaningful assessment also needs price history, competing retailer prices, seller identity and the total cost of ownership.
Which retailers mattered?
Amazon UK
Amazon offered a very broad range across electronics, appliances, beauty and everyday products, with frequent deal drops during its long promotional window. That also meant Cyber Monday was not necessarily the cheapest day for every product.

Check whether the price requires Prime membership or a coupon, and confirm that the seller is Amazon rather than a marketplace business. “Was” prices can be less useful than the product’s recent price history, particularly when prices have moved repeatedly during a multi-week sale.

Currys
Currys was particularly relevant for TVs, laptops, phones, appliances and gaming. Stores offered the opportunity to view products, collect orders and check certain items in person. Its 2025 “Our Lowest Ever Price” messaging and price-difference refund mechanism could provide useful reassurance for qualifying products, but the eligibility rules and dates mattered.
For large appliances, compare delivery, installation and recycling fees—not just the shelf price. A lower headline price can disappear once those services are added.
Argos
Argos was useful for gaming, toys, small appliances and consumer electronics, especially where fast collection mattered. Stock varied by postcode, so a product shown online was not necessarily available at the nearest store. Confirm the exact model number and bundle before paying.
John Lewis
John Lewis appealed to shoppers who placed a higher value on customer service, returns and warranty handling than on the largest headline discount. It was relevant for appliances, TVs, audio, beauty and fashion. A smaller reduction can be worthwhile if the retailer’s service is more valuable to you, but John Lewis was not always the cheapest seller.

AO and Very
AO was relevant to large appliances and selected technology. Very covered technology, toys, appliances and fashion and sometimes promoted credit-based payment options. Always compare the cash price and total repayment separately. A monthly payment is not itself a saving.
Manufacturer stores
Apple, Samsung, Dyson, Ninja, LG, Dell, Lenovo, Oppo and Nothing also featured in the promotional landscape. Manufacturer offers often used gift cards, trade-in bonuses, vouchers or bundles rather than a simple cut to the price. Compare the complete package with retailer pricing and check the expiry and restrictions on any voucher.
Best categories to assess
Phones
Phone deals can look exceptional but require more arithmetic than most other purchases. For a contract, calculate:
total cost = upfront payment + (monthly payment × contract months) + compulsory fees.
Then compare the data allowance, network coverage, roaming terms, upgrade conditions and exit charges. Do not compare a handset-only price with a contract’s monthly headline.
Audio
Earbuds were one of the clearer categories for comparing exact price reductions. The Sony WF-1000XM5, AirPods Pro 2 USB-C, Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, Nothing Ear (a) and Sony WF-C510 all appeared in historical deal coverage. The right choice still depends on fit, noise cancellation, battery life, microphone quality and compatibility—not just the discount percentage.

TVs and home entertainment
Before buying a discounted TV, check whether it is current-generation stock or an older clearance model. Compare:

- OLED against QLED or mini-LED picture characteristics;
- screen size and viewing distance;
- HDMI 2.1 ports, refresh rate and gaming latency;
- HDR format support;
- delivery, installation and recycling charges; and
- whether the price requires a soundbar or other bundle.
A large percentage reduction from an old recommended retail price may be less valuable than a smaller reduction on a newer model with better specifications.
Appliances
Air fryers, robot vacuums, cordless vacuums, coffee machines, washing machines, dishwashers and hair tools were prominent categories. Air-fryer coverage reported discounts of up to 50% on selected Ninja, Philips and other products, but “up to” describes the best case, not the typical saving.
Compare model numbers carefully. Similar names can conceal differences in capacity, included accessories, power, software, warranty or retailer-exclusive specification. For washing machines, dishwashers and other large goods, confirm dimensions, access routes, installation and disposal costs before ordering.
Gaming
Look for PS5 and PS5 Pro bundles, PlayStation Portal, Nintendo Switch 2 bundles, games, controllers and accessories. Establish whether the saving is on the console itself or whether a bundled game has limited value to you. A bundle is not automatically better than buying the hardware and a preferred game separately.

Laptops and tablets
Judge the specification rather than the percentage off. Check processor generation, RAM, storage, display quality, battery expectations and operating system. A budget laptop with an old processor or 4GB of memory may remain poor value despite a dramatic RRP reduction.

Beauty and personal care
Dyson hair tools, Oral-B toothbrushes, Philips grooming products, fragrance and beauty gift sets were common promotional areas. Check that a gift set contains the same product size and accessories as the standard version. Also check returns restrictions for opened hygiene or personal-care products.

- Compare the current selling price. Look at the price immediately before the promotion and prices at competing retailers.
- Check six-to-twelve-month history where possible. A product’s lowest recent price is more informative than its RRP.
- Match the model number. Confirm generation, capacity, colour, accessories and condition.
- Add every cost. Include delivery, installation, recycling, accessories, membership fees and subscriptions.
- Check the conditions. Look for app-only pricing, voucher codes, quantity limits, Prime or membership requirements, trade-in rules and finance terms.
- Verify the seller. Marketplace listings may be refurbished, open-box or supplied with different warranty arrangements.
- Check delivery and returns. A cheap item that misses Christmas—or cannot be returned after opening—may not be the best purchase.
Independent evidence matters. Which? analysed 175 products across eight major retailers and found examples that were no cheaper, or cheaper, at other times of year. That does not mean every Cyber Monday deal was poor; it means the calendar label is not proof of value.
Should you have bought on Cyber Monday or waited?
Buying on 1 December made the most sense when the price was a verified recent low, stock was limited, the product was needed before Christmas or the retailer offered a useful qualifying price guarantee. It was less compelling when the reduction was small, the price had been stable for months, a newer model was imminent or the retailer had already extended the promotion.
Waiting could have produced another opportunity, but it never guaranteed a lower price. The trade-off was between a possible future saving and the risk of losing stock, delivery availability or the exact model wanted.
Common traps
- Expired links: historical deal pages may remain indexed after prices and stock change.
- False urgency: “ends tonight” may describe one retailer’s promotion, not the entire UK sale.
- Reference-price inflation: an RRP saving is not necessarily a saving against the normal recent price.
- Price cycling: prices can rise and fall during a long campaign.
- Marketplace confusion: reviews may relate to another seller, condition or model.
- Accessory omissions: printers, cameras, laptops and consoles may require extra purchases.
- Finance framing: a low monthly payment can conceal a higher total cost.
- Delivery risk: stock availability does not guarantee delivery before Christmas.
Verdict
Cyber Monday 2025 was a legitimate final-day shopping hook, but not a universal last chance. The date was Monday 1 December, following Black Friday on 28 November; Amazon’s scheduled event ended then, while several retailers extended selected offers beyond it. Some strong prices appeared before Monday and some survived afterwards.
The sensible decision was product-specific: compare the exact model’s recent price history, competing retailers, total cost, seller, warranty and delivery date. Buy because the numbers and product make sense—not simply because a countdown says “Cyber Monday”.
