That is an illustration, not a forecast or a pool of cash available to sell every token. The comparison with Remittix comes from a January 13, 2025 TechBullion press release, whose price and project claims should be treated as dated promotion rather than verified current facts.
What does $1 per SHIB imply?
Multiply the token price by the number of tokens counted as circulating. CoinMarketCap reported approximately 589.24 trillion SHIB in circulation as of October 8, 2026. At $1 each, that supply implies approximately $589.24 trillion in circulating-supply value. This is a calculation from the stated supply, not a published forecast. CoinMarketCap’s SHIB market page
CoinMarketCap also reported approximately 589.55 trillion as SHIB’s maximum supply. That figure is a different supply measure, not the circulating amount used in the calculation above. CoinGecko’s SHIB page, updated October 8, 2026, independently showed approximately 589.238 trillion circulating SHIB—broadly consistent with CoinMarketCap’s estimate. A market-cap-style figure is price multiplied by circulating supply; it does not mean that amount of money has been invested or is waiting to buy tokens. Nor does it show that every holder could sell at the quoted price: actual sale prices depend on available buyers and liquidity. Does that make $1 impossible?
No. The arithmetic shows the scale of the implied valuation if the stated circulating supply and a $1 price held at the same time; it does not prove impossibility. Supply can change, including through token burns, and market prices can change. A claim that SHIB cannot reach $1 would require more than pointing to a large implied valuation. Conversely, the calculation is not evidence that SHIB will reach $1.
Any estimate that relies on future burns would need explicit assumptions about how many tokens are removed and how quickly. Without a substantiated burn schedule and current data, a precise timeline for reaching a particular supply is not established.

What did the Remittix comparison claim?
The title refers to a David Bryan item published by TechBullion on January 13, 2025, and labeled a press release. It promoted Remittix (RTX) as an altcoin priced below $0.02 and presented it as a contrast with SHIB. The wording that RTX “will” rise is promotional certainty, not evidence of future performance. The article also made claims about payment features, stablecoin support, partnerships, financial inclusion, removing intermediaries, adoption, and SHIB’s prospects. The cited material does not independently establish those claims as current facts. In particular, the under-$0.02 figure is a claim in a 2025 promotion, not a verified current RTX price. It should not be used to imply that RTX is now available at that price or that its value will rise.

Why a low token price is not a fair comparison
A token’s unit price alone does not tell you whether it is cheap or likely to appreciate. A meaningful comparison needs, at minimum, the token’s supply and implied valuation alongside evidence about whether it is transferable and traded, what its product does, and whether claimed integrations or adoption are documented. The information cited here establishes SHIB supply snapshots and the existence of the 2025 Remittix promotion; it does not establish RTX’s current price, supply, trading status, functionality, integrations, or adoption.
CoinMarketCap identifies SHIB as an Ethereum ERC-20 token. The 2025 TechBullion article also discussed Shibarium and adoption-related constraints, but the cited evidence does not verify its claims about consumer adoption, transaction costs, or Shibarium’s success. How to assess a $1 claim or an altcoin pitch
- Check the date and source. A price quoted in a January 2025 press release is not a current quote.
- Identify the supply measure. Confirm whether a calculation uses circulating, total, or maximum supply, and note the provider and date.
- Recalculate the implied value. Multiply the proposed token price by the relevant supply; treat the result as arithmetic, not a prediction or guaranteed liquidation value.
- Separate documented facts from promotion. Look for independently verifiable evidence of trading, product functionality, partnerships, and adoption rather than relying on claims in a promotional article.
- Do not infer upside from a small unit price. A low price per token, by itself, establishes neither undervaluation nor likely returns.
