Central Bank of India’s 2025 recruitment for 1,000 Credit Officer posts is closed. The original application window ran from January 30 to February 20, 2025; the bank later reopened applications from March 6 to March 10, 2025. Official notices show the selection process moved to later stages, so the February 20 deadline is historical—not an invitation to apply now.
What was the Central Bank of India recruitment?
The bank advertised 1,000 Credit Officer in Mainstream (General Banking) vacancies in Junior Management Grade Scale I (JMGS-I), the Assistant Manager grade. The notification described the vacancy count as provisional and subject to change according to the bank’s requirements. See the Central Bank of India recruitment notice for the original advertisement and related records.
The notification’s category-wise total was 150 SC, 75 ST, 270 OBC, 100 EWS and 405 GEN vacancies. It also listed 10 each under the disability reservation columns for HI, VI, OC and ID. These figures were part of the provisional vacancy breakdown, not a guarantee of final appointments.
When could candidates apply?
| Application period | Dates and time | What happened |
|---|---|---|
| Original window | January 30–February 20, 2025 | Online registration and fee payment, according to the original notice. |
| Reopened window | March 6, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. through March 10, 2025 | The bank’s corrigendum reopened applications for this period. |
The later period is best described as a reopened application window. It was not simply the original February 20 deadline continuing unchanged. The dates and reopening were set out in the bank’s corrigendum and recruitment records.

What was the age limit?
The corrigendum set the age range at 20 to 30 years and specified an inclusive birth-date range of November 30, 1994, through November 30, 2004. Upper-age relaxation applied to specified categories. Candidates needed to consult the complete official notification for the category-specific relaxation rules; the age range alone does not describe every candidate’s eligibility.
Was the PGDBF course compulsory?
Yes. Appointment was conditional on successfully completing a one-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) through an institute or university empanelled by the bank. The bank stated that it would allocate the institute to eligible candidates through its internal allocation process. Passing an earlier recruitment stage did not, by itself, satisfy this course condition.

What pay scale did the notice list?
The notification listed JMGS-I basic pay on a scale of ₹48,480–₹85,920 through staged increments. This is the basic-pay scale for the post, not total compensation, annual earnings or take-home pay. The official recruitment notification contains the pay details.

Central Bank of India’s official recruitment listing subsequently included notices for the online-test result, interviews, a provisional shortlist, waitlist and document verification, and commencement of the PGDBF course. These records establish that the recruitment proceeded beyond applications; they do not establish the final appointment or course outcome for every candidate. Check the bank’s official recruitment listing for notices and updates.

Can candidates apply now?
No. Both application periods took place in 2025, and the official listing shows later selection activity. Anyone looking for a current Central Bank of India opening should rely on a current official recruitment notice, not the historical February 20 deadline or this 2025 vacancy announcement.
