Not as a non-US sender, based on Samsung’s announcement. The upcoming USDC feature is for eligible US residents, but Samsung says those users will be able to send USDC to compatible crypto wallets internationally or send money to eligible bank accounts in more than 60 countries. Solana is a named network-support partner; Samsung has not published the exact networks available at launch, so do not assume every Solana USDC wallet or other network will work.
What the US-only eligibility rule means
Samsung announced the feature on October 7, 2026, with a planned launch in the last week of October. As of October 13, 2026, it was still upcoming, not available. Samsung says the first supported stablecoin will be USDC and describes the initial service as available to eligible US residents. The announced eligibility requirements are US residency, age 18 or older, a Samsung Account, a compatible Galaxy device running Android 13 or higher, registration, identity verification, and biometric authentication setup. Samsung has not published the exact Galaxy models that qualify for the stablecoin feature. General availability of Samsung Wallet on a phone is not proof that the phone will be eligible for USDC.
This restriction applies to who can use the announced sending service; it does not mean international recipients are barred. Samsung says eligible US senders may use either of two routes:

Does Samsung Wallet support USDC on Solana?
Solana is among the named network-support partners, but the announcement does not give a definitive list of networks users will be able to select at launch. Samsung also names Sui as a network-support partner. The Samsung Mobile Press announcement describes compatibility in terms of a receiving wallet supporting USDC on a network supported by Samsung Wallet; it does not confirm that all USDC tokens on Solana, or all USDC networks, will be available.

What to check before an international transfer
- Confirm sender eligibility. Check that you meet Samsung’s US-residency, age, account, device, identity-verification, and biometric-setup requirements.
- Choose the recipient route. For USDC, the recipient needs a compatible crypto wallet or exchange. For a bank payout, check that the destination country, bank, and account type are supported in the app.
- Match the network for a crypto transfer. Check both Samsung Wallet’s available network and the recipient’s supported USDC deposit network before entering or approving a transfer.
- Review the in-app details. For bank payouts, review the displayed fee and estimated delivery time before confirming. For a wallet transfer, account for any receiving-provider fee and possible variation in blockchain processing time.
Who holds the funds and moves the USDC?
Samsung says it does not hold customer funds and is not the bank, money transmitter, or digital-asset custodian for the service. It describes Bastion as providing the stablecoin account and movement framework, and says transfers require biometric authentication on a registered compatible device. Coinbase says it serves as the USDC subcustodian through Coinbase Prime Vault. These are the roles announced for this service, and use is subject to partner terms; they are not a guarantee of transfer outcomes, redemption, or protection from crypto-related risks.
