Not yet. Samsung announced USDC transfers for eligible U.S. Galaxy users, with rollout planned for the last week of October 2026. As of October 9, 2026, the feature had not reached its announced launch window, so there are no confirmed live-app steps to follow. Once available, a transfer will depend on Samsung Wallet supporting the route and the receiving wallet accepting USDC on Solana.
When will Samsung Wallet support USDC transfers?
Samsung Electronics America announced on October 7, 2026 that stablecoin functionality would begin rolling out in the last week of October. The announcement says eligible users will be able to send USDC directly to compatible crypto wallets internationally. It does not provide a confirmed launch-day network list or a screen-by-screen guide. Samsung’s announcement therefore supports a planned feature, not instructions for a workflow already available.

Samsung said the service could reach a base of 82 million U.S. Galaxy devices compatible with Samsung Wallet. That is an estimate of compatible devices, not the number of people enrolled in or actively using stablecoin transfers.

Samsung’s announcement limits stablecoin functionality to eligible U.S. residents who meet all of these conditions:

- They use a Galaxy device compatible with Samsung Wallet and running Android 13 or later.
- They complete account registration and identity verification, and set up biometric authentication.
- They meet the terms of Samsung’s service partners.
Samsung’s announcement does not establish that every compatible device or user will qualify; check the eligibility information in Samsung Wallet when the feature becomes available.
What must be compatible for a Solana transfer?
Both ends of the transfer must line up: Samsung Wallet must support the sending route, and the destination wallet or exchange must accept USDC on that same network. Samsung and the Solana Foundation announced Solana stablecoin support, but the announcements do not certify a particular recipient wallet by name or publish a definitive launch-day compatibility list. Check Samsung Wallet and the receiving service’s own supported networks before proceeding.

Solana’s documentation explains that each asset has its own token mint and that a wallet has a separate token account for each asset. Tokens can share a name without being the same asset. Verify that the receiving service identifies the asset as USDC on Solana and, where it displays a mint, that it matches the official Solana documentation. Do not assume USDC on another blockchain can be sent to a Solana address. Solana’s payment documentation explains wallet addresses, token accounts, and mint validation.

What should you do before sending?
- Wait until the feature appears in Samsung Wallet. The October 7 announcement does not document the actual buttons, network selector, or routing flow. Do not rely on guessed instructions such as choosing a specific menu or network.
- Check the live compatibility details in Samsung Wallet. Confirm that the offered route supports Solana and that the recipient wallet or exchange accepts USDC on Solana. A wallet address alone does not prove that the service supports the asset and network.
- Verify the recipient details in both apps. Match the network and asset shown by Samsung Wallet with the receiving service’s deposit instructions. If the recipient service provides a token mint, compare it with Solana’s published mainnet USDC mint.
- Review the amount, any recipient-service charges, and the confirmation screen. Proceed only if the destination and network are clear. If Samsung Wallet does not offer a compatible route, stop and contact Samsung or the recipient service’s official support rather than trying an unrelated network or bridge.
What does Samsung say about fees and transfer time?
Samsung says it will not charge a fee for USDC transfers to external wallets. The receiving wallet provider or exchange may charge its own fees, and transfer speed depends on blockchain conditions. “No Samsung transfer fee” therefore does not guarantee that the overall transaction is free or instant. Samsung also says transfers to sanctioned jurisdictions are prohibited. These terms concern external-wallet transfers, not Samsung’s separate bank-account remittance service.
Who holds and moves the USDC?
Samsung says regulated partners provide custody and money movement and that Samsung itself does not hold customer funds. It identifies Bastion as the payment-framework provider and Coinbase as the official USDC sub-custodian, safeguarding USDC through Coinbase Prime Vault. Is sending USDC to a bank account the same thing?
No. Samsung also announced a separate option to send funds to qualifying bank accounts in more than 60 countries, where recipients may receive local currency. That is a bank remittance, not a transfer to a Solana wallet. Samsung says bank-transfer fees vary by destination and amount, with fees and an estimated delivery time shown before confirmation; country and bank eligibility, as well as delivery times, can vary.
