What Samsung has confirmed—and what it has not
On October 7, 2026, Samsung announced USDC functionality for Samsung Wallet, with a planned U.S. launch in the last week of October. The announcement describes users sending USDC from Samsung Wallet to compatible third-party crypto wallets or exchange accounts. A destination qualifies only if it supports USDC on a blockchain network supported by Samsung Wallet. Samsung’s announcement does not confirm the reverse direction: receiving USDC into Samsung Wallet from an external wallet.

Samsung names Solana and Sui among partner capabilities related to network support, but does not publish a final supported-network list or say that Solana USDC deposits into Samsung Wallet will be supported at launch. The announcement also does not explain how to obtain an inbound address or QR code. Without those details, there is no confirmed set of steps for sending USDC from a Solana wallet into this Samsung Wallet feature.

What to verify before attempting a transfer
Before moving funds, confirm the transfer direction, network, and receiving method in Samsung’s official instructions for the specific stablecoin feature—not just that both services mention USDC or Solana.

- Inbound transfers: Samsung must explicitly say that the feature accepts USDC from an external wallet.
- Network and token: Samsung Wallet and the sending wallet must support the same USDC token on the same blockchain network. Support for Solana in a partner capability does not by itself confirm Solana deposits.
- Receiving details: Use only the address or QR instructions Samsung provides for this feature. Do not assume that an address from another Samsung app works.
- Costs and timing: Check the terms that apply specifically to incoming transfers. Samsung’s stated fee and speed information concerns transfers going out of Samsung Wallet and cannot establish inbound fees or arrival times.
If Samsung does not document all of these points, do not send funds based on a guessed address, a network selector, or instructions for a different wallet product. A transfer sent on an unsupported network or to an incompatible destination may not arrive as intended.
Do not confuse Samsung Wallet with Samsung Blockchain Wallet
Samsung separately documents Samsung Blockchain Wallet, whose general receiving illustration tells users to copy an account address or use a QR code. That is not evidence that the same address or process applies to the newly announced Samsung Wallet stablecoin feature. Samsung’s announcement does not connect the two receiving flows.

Samsung also describes a Digital Assets card in Samsung Wallet that can display assets held in Samsung Blockchain Wallet or linked supported exchange accounts. That viewing feature is distinct from the announced USDC transfer service; seeing a digital asset in a wallet interface does not establish that the interface can receive it. Samsung’s support information on digital assets lists Coinbase and Gemini as supported linked exchanges in the U.S., while noting that supported exchanges and features can vary by model and carrier and may change.

Samsung says compatibility can vary by device and feature. Its broader Wallet device information is not a substitute for these feature-specific conditions. Check Samsung’s Wallet compatibility information alongside the requirements in the stablecoin announcement.
Fees, custody, and the Coinbase question
For transfers from Samsung Wallet to external wallets, Samsung says it will charge no transfer fee; a recipient provider may charge its own fee, and transfer speed depends on network conditions. Those terms are for outbound transfers only. Samsung has not established fees or timing for the inbound Solana transfer in this article’s title.

Samsung says Bastion will provide the cross-border payment framework and that Coinbase will act as official sub-custodian, with USDC safeguarded via Coinbase Prime Vault. Samsung also says regulated partners provide stablecoin accounts, custody, and money movement; Samsung is not itself a bank, money transmitter, or digital-asset custodian. These partner roles do not mean users need a Coinbase account.

What to do when Samsung publishes receiving instructions
- Open Samsung’s official instructions for the USDC feature and confirm that they cover receiving from an external wallet.
- Confirm that Solana is explicitly supported for inbound USDC and that the sending wallet’s USDC is on that same network.
- Follow the receiving-address or QR-code process Samsung provides for this feature, and review its inbound fee, timing, and eligibility terms.
- Only then initiate the transfer from the Solana wallet, following the sending wallet’s confirmation screens. Do not rely on an outbound-transfer guide or a Samsung Blockchain Wallet illustration as a substitute.
Samsung’s announcement described a planned launch, not a confirmed live receiving flow. Check the current official instructions before acting; the October 7 announcement alone does not establish whether the feature later launched with inbound Solana support.
