Bose’s US trade-in program accepts certain Bose earbuds and offers up to $100 in credit toward an eligible new Bose product. That is a maximum, not a guaranteed value: the offer depends on your earbuds’ serial number and the replacement you choose. Bose says the program is available in the United States and Canada.
Which Bose earbuds qualify?
Bose currently lists these earbud models as eligible: QuietComfort 20, QuietControl 30, QuietComfort Earbuds, QuietComfort Earbuds II, Sports Earbuds, SoundSport Free, SoundSport Wireless and SoundSport Pulse. The list can change, so a model name alone does not confirm that a particular pair qualifies. Bose uses a serial-number check to show the offer for your unit.
Find the serial number on the earbuds, their original box or, in some cases, in the Bose app. Then enter it on Bose’s Trade In page to see available replacement products and the credit offered.
How much credit can you get?
Bose advertises up to $100 in trade-in credit for eligible earbuds on its US program page, accessed in 2026. The actual amount is determined during the serial-number and replacement-product selection process; Bose says offers may change without notice. The credit is applied toward a new product in the program, not paid out as cash. As Bose puts it, “We do not offer cash alternatives for the trade-in value.”

The credit does not cover taxes and cannot be combined with other promotional offers. Compare the displayed credit with the replacement’s price and any other discount you could use before ordering.
How to trade in your Bose earbuds
- Locate the earbuds’ serial number on the product, original box or, if available, in the Bose app.
- Open Bose’s Trade In page and enter the serial number to check eligibility and the offer.
- Select an offered replacement and review the credit, total price, shipping details and terms before paying.
- After ordering, follow the shipping instructions Bose emails. Bose provides a prepaid UPS label; shipping the old product is free.
- Send the earbuds within 90 days. Bose says it will cancel the order if it does not receive the trade-in product within that period.
How long does the process take, and can you return the purchase?
Bose says the replacement typically ships three to four days after it receives the old product. The overall process usually takes a couple of weeks, depending in part on how quickly you mail the earbuds. These are Bose’s estimates, not a guaranteed delivery schedule.

Trade-in purchases are final sale, and Bose says it will not return the traded-in product. Make sure you are comfortable with both terms before completing the order.
What if your earbuds are not eligible?
You can keep them, explore resale options, or use an appropriate local battery or electronics-waste collection route. Bose’s recycling information describes its participation in Call2Recycle for spent rechargeable batteries, but it does not confirm that every Bose earbud model is accepted through a Bose-operated take-back route. Check local collection guidance for your specific product rather than assuming Bose will accept it.

Does the Bose program work outside the United States and Canada?
Bose identifies the US trade-in program as available to customers in the United States and Canada. Other regions may have different terms or offers; for example, Bose Australia has shown an offer in Australian dollars. Check the Bose site for your country to confirm local availability instead of relying on the US credit or eligibility list.
