What were the selection stages?
The recruitment process included preliminary and main written examinations, a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), document verification and other pre-appointment checks. Candidates had to qualify at each applicable stage under the notification.

Preliminary examination
- Format: 100 questions for 200 marks, with a two-hour time limit.
- Subjects: General knowledge and current affairs.
- Qualifying threshold: Candidates scoring below 30% were disqualified from the mains.
- Negative marking: The notice prescribed a deduction of 0.2 marks for each incorrect answer.
Main examination
The mains had two papers, each worth 200 marks and lasting two hours. Paper 1 was General Hindi and qualifying, with a minimum score of 30%. Paper 2 tested general studies, general science, civics, Indian history, geography, mathematics and mental ability. The notification prescribed a 0.2-mark deduction for each incorrect answer in the written stages.
Physical Efficiency Test
The PET required candidates to pass each event. The stated running events were a 1.6 km run for men, to be completed within 6 minutes 30 seconds, and a 1 km run for women, within 6 minutes. What happened after applications closed?
BPSSC records the preliminary examination on 18 May 2025 and the mains on 31 August 2025. PET and document verification took place on 22 December 2025. According to the final-result notice, 168 candidates were called for PET, 151 attended, and 95 were found eligible for consideration for final selection against the 28 vacancies. BPSSC’s listing shows that the final result was published on 30 December 2025.
