What is Bose’s Trade In Program?
It is a way to trade a qualifying Bose device for credit toward a new Bose product in the program. Bose says the program is exclusively available to customers in the United States and Canada. Offers depend on the device and replacement selected, are subject to availability, and may change or end without notice.
The credit is tied to a new purchase made through Bose’s Trade In Program; it is not cash or a general-purpose credit for purchases elsewhere.
How much credit will I get for my Bose product?
Bose advertises category maximums, but these are ceilings rather than promised values for any specific item. As shown on Bose’s page accessed October 8, 2026, the advertised maxima are:

Your actual offer is determined in the serial-number flow and can vary with the specific eligible device and replacement you choose. Check the amount displayed for your transaction rather than budgeting around a category maximum.
What are the eligibility rules for the Trade In Program?
Bose lists selected models, not every product it has sold. Examples on the current program page include QuietComfort 2, 3, 15, 25, 35, 35 II, and 45 headphones; Noise Cancelling 700; QuietComfort 20 and QuietComfort Earbuds generations; SoundSport models; and selected SoundLink, Soundbar, CineMate, Solo, and SoundTouch products. This list is not a guarantee that a particular model will receive an offer; Bose’s live serial-number check is decisive.

SoundTouch owners
Bose stated that support for all SoundTouch products would be discontinued as of February 18, 2026, affecting the SoundTouch app and some features. Its SoundTouch page describes a trade-in route for eligible devices, including SoundTouch 10, 20, 30, Portable, Wave Music System, Stereo JC, SA4, SA5, and SoundTouch Soundbar 300. That date has passed, and the page describes availability in select regions while its terms limit the offer to the United States and Canada. Confirm current availability and your device’s offer directly with Bose rather than assuming the SoundTouch offer remains open.

What is the trade-in process?
- Find the device serial number. Bose says it may be printed on the product or original box, and in some cases it is available in the Bose app.
- Enter the serial number on Bose’s Trade In page and review whether the device qualifies and what credit is offered.
- Choose an eligible replacement and review the full order total and terms. Bose eGift Cards are not accepted as payment.
- Submit the order and payment and shipping details. Bose emails an order confirmation, prepaid UPS label, and instructions.
- Pack and send the old product using the supplied shipping process. Bose will not return a traded-in device.
How long does the trade-in process take?
Bose says the overall process typically takes a couple of weeks, depending in part on how quickly you send the old item. After Bose receives it, the company typically ships the new product within 3–4 days. These are estimates, not delivery guarantees. Bose says the order is cancelled if it has not received the trade-in product within 90 days.

- Credit applies only to a new purchase made within the Bose Trade In Program and is not redeemable for cash.
- Trade-in credit cannot be combined with other promotions and does not cover tax or delivery.
- Bose states, “Trade-in orders are final sale.” Products bought through the program cannot be returned or exchanged. Warranty service still applies.
- The old device is not returned to you.
Because a trade-in purchase is final sale, check the replacement model, configuration, total including taxes and delivery, and displayed credit before placing the order. Bose’s general returns page explains its broader policy, but the program’s final-sale terms govern Trade In purchases.
