Boeing’s revised November 2025 offer included a $6,000 ratification bonus for IAM District 837 members, but the offer itself did not end the strike. Workers later approved a five-year agreement that included a $6,000 signing bonus and a 24% wage increase over the contract term, ending the walkout.
What Boeing offered on November 10
Steve Parker, president and CEO of Boeing Defense, Space & Security, told represented employees on November 10, 2025, that the company was offering a $6,000 ratification bonus. In the message reproduced by First Alert 4 / KMOV, Parker said Boeing was removing restricted stock units and a retention bonus to put more cash up front.
The revised offer also said that if members ratified it, all IAM District 837 members would return to work without displacement, even though Boeing had hired permanent replacement workers. That assurance addressed whether striking workers could return; it was separate from the cash and wage terms.
When the strike ended—and what workers approved
The vote came after Boeing made its offer. IAM District 837 members later approved a five-year agreement, ending a strike that had begun August 4, 2025. The Associated Press reported that the final agreement included a 24% wage increase across the contract and a $6,000 signing bonus. The approximately 3,200 workers were based at facilities in St. Louis and St. Charles, Missouri, and Mascoutah, Illinois. The Associated Press’s account describes the agreement approved by members, not merely the earlier offer.

Boeing’s November message called the $6,000 payment a ratification bonus; the AP called the payment in the approved contract a signing bonus. The sources establish the amount in both stages, but do not provide a complete final contract text or a clause-by-clause account of how every offer term changed.
How the final deal differed from earlier bargaining
Earlier company offers were rejected. The AP reported that one earlier proposal offered a 20% wage increase over the contract term and a $5,000 ratification bonus. Another offer retained the same pay increases but removed a scheduling rule that limited overtime opportunities. The union rejected four earlier company offers before members approved the final agreement, according to the AP.

In September, the union said members had ratified a union-proposed four-year agreement. Boeing had not accepted that proposal, however, and the strike continued. The union proposal addressed alignment of 401(k) contributions, raises for top-of-scale workers, and a compromise on the ratification bonus; it was not the agreement that ended the strike. IAM District 837’s announcement describes that earlier bargaining step.

The revised offer shifted part of its value toward immediate cash by removing restricted stock units and a retention bonus. That is useful context for understanding why Boeing described the proposal as putting more money up front, but the available reporting does not establish the value or timing of the removed components. The $6,000 was a one-time bonus tied to ratification/signing, not part of the reported 24% wage increase across the five-year agreement.

For workers weighing the proposal, the key trade-offs visible in the reporting were immediate cash versus stock or delayed retention payments, wage growth over the full agreement, schedule and overtime provisions, and assurance against displacement by replacement workers. The sources do not establish every final clause, so they cannot support a complete financial comparison of the rejected offers with the signed contract.
