Celebrity Net Worth estimates Blippi creator Stevin John’s net worth at $40 million. That is a third-party estimate, not a confirmed or audited statement of his personal wealth. Moonbug’s 2020 acquisition of Blippi had undisclosed terms, so the company’s separate $120 million financing round should not be mistaken for the sale price or money paid to John.
What is Blippi’s estimated net worth?
Celebrity Net Worth puts Blippi—Stevin John’s children’s-entertainment character—at an estimated $40 million. The figure is the publisher’s estimate; the available source does not establish it through audited accounts or a personal financial disclosure from John. It should therefore be treated as a commonly cited estimate, not a verified balance sheet.
Why the $17 million figure is different
Celebrity Net Worth also reports that John earned $17 million in 2020. Earnings for a year and net worth are different measures: annual earnings describe money received over a period, while net worth generally represents assets minus liabilities at a point in time. The publisher’s figure does not, by itself, confirm John’s total wealth or establish how much he retained after taxes, expenses, or other obligations.
How much did Blippi sell for?
Moonbug announced on July 30, 2020, that it had acquired Blippi along with CoComelon. Moonbug’s announcement and contemporaneous Bloomberg coverage did not disclose the deal terms or a purchase price. Buzzacott, which provided financial due diligence, lists Moonbug as the buyer and Blippi as the seller for the transaction, but does not state its value.

Moonbug separately announced a $120 million financing round to support company growth and acquisitions. Bloomberg described that amount as funding raised from investors. It was not a disclosed Blippi sale price, and the sources do not establish that it was paid to John.
What the 2020 audience figures tell us—and what they don’t
In its July 30, 2020 announcement, Moonbug said Blippi had more than 24 million subscribers and averaged 570 million monthly views. Those are historical figures reported by the company at the time, not current audience statistics or a valuation of the brand. Moonbug also said it planned to expand Blippi through additional episodes, toys, apparel, and licensing partnerships.
