Cyber Monday 2025 has ended. The standout documented deal was the JBL Flip 7 at $100, down from $150, making it the strongest all-purpose bargain among the Bose, JBL, Sony and Ultimate Ears speakers covered here. This archived guide preserves the reported prices and explains what each deal was best suited for, so you can use them as benchmarks for a future sale. Prices below were snapshots from the 2025 Black Friday-Cyber Monday period, not current 2026 offers.
The best 2025 Cyber Monday speaker deals at a glance
Cyber Monday fell on December 1, 2025. Deal coverage updated around December 1–2 showed that prices could change by retailer, color and inventory. The table therefore uses cautious language such as “reported at” and “listed at,” rather than implying that every retailer sold every configuration at the same price.
| Award | Model | Deal price | Advertised price | Reported saving | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Best overall | JBL Flip 7 | $100 | $150 | $50, about 33% | Most buyers |
| Best balanced sound | Bose SoundLink Flex | $119 | $149 | $30, about 20% | Everyday and outdoor listening |
| Best battery upgrade | JBL Charge 6 | $130 | About $200 | Reported as 35% off | Longer outdoor sessions |
| Best bass value | Sony ULT Field 1 | $88 | $140 | $52, about 37% | Affordable bass-forward sound |
| Best under $60 | Ultimate Ears MINIROLL | $50 | $80 | $30, about 38% | Small gifts and travel |
| Best compact waterproof option | Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM 4 | $60 | $100 | $40, 40% | Poolside and casual outdoor use |
| Best large portable speaker | JBL Xtreme 4 | $280 | About $379 | About $99, roughly 26% | Groups and patios |
| Best premium Bose deal | Bose SoundLink Max | $279 | $399 | $120, about 30% | Premium portable sound |
Sources and price verification: the JBL Flip 7 price and retailer list came from WIRED’s 2025 Cyber Monday coverage. The Bose, JBL and Sony prices were reported by Engadget; Ultimate Ears and Sony ULT Field 1 prices were reported by Yahoo Shopping. These were editorial deal snapshots, not a single manufacturer-verified price list.
Best overall: JBL Flip 7 at $100
The JBL Flip 7 was the best general-purpose deal in the documented coverage. WIRED called it its best Bluetooth-speaker pick and listed it at $100 rather than $150 at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and JBL. Engadget separately reported a $110 price, illustrating how the deal moved during the sales period.

- STEREO ON THE GO: Amp up the adventure with more sound when you link two compatible Bose speakers, choose Stereo Mode for left and right channels, or go for Party Mode for even bigger, bolder sound
At $100, the Flip 7 offered the most convincing balance of price, portability, durability and energetic sound for a typical buyer. It was easier to carry than larger party-oriented models and more substantial than the cheapest mini speakers. It was not the universal winner: the Charge 6 was the better choice for longer battery life, while the Bose SoundLink Flex was the more natural fit for listeners who preferred a balanced presentation.
Because this article is historical, the $100 figure should be treated as the strongest documented 2025 price—not a current offer or a guarantee that every color was available everywhere at that amount.
Bose deals: refined sound and premium design
Bose SoundLink Flex: $119
The Bose SoundLink Flex was reported at $119, down from $149. It was the better alternative to the Flip 7 for shoppers who valued balanced, controlled sound and a compact design over maximum loudness or the most aggressive bass.
There is an important generation caveat. The 2025 deal coverage’s $149 reference may relate to an earlier listing, a retailer price or a particular configuration. Bose’s current page identifies the SoundLink Flex 2nd Gen and lists a current regular price of $159, along with IP67 protection, up to 12 hours of claimed battery life, USB-C charging, multipoint connectivity and stereo or party pairing. Do not use the current specification page as proof of what Bose charged on December 1, 2025.
The Flex is a strong fit for a desk, kitchen, patio or travel bag. Bose specifies that the charging port should be completely dry before charging. IP67 protection also does not mean the speaker is immune to salt water, chlorine, sand or impact.

Bose SoundLink Home: $179
The Bose SoundLink Home was reported at $179, down from $219. It belongs in a more home-friendly category than the waterproof Flip 7 or WONDERBOOM 4. Choose it when the speaker will mostly live indoors or move occasionally between rooms, rather than accompany you to a pool or beach.
Bose SoundLink Plus: $179
The SoundLink Plus was also reported at $179, against a listed $269 price. It was the more portable, bass-oriented Bose option in this group, with Bose advertising up to 20 hours of battery life for the model. Battery estimates are “up to” figures and depend on volume, temperature, EQ settings and battery condition.
Bose SoundLink Max: $279
The SoundLink Max was listed at $279, down from $399. It was Bose’s premium large-portable choice: appropriate for listeners who wanted more output and a substantial enclosure without moving to a dedicated party speaker.

The trade-off is size and cost. The Max was less suitable for hiking, air travel, small bags or anyone who primarily wanted a compact speaker. At the same reported price, the JBL Xtreme 4 was the more practical choice for some outdoor groups, while the Bose was the stronger premium-brand option for buyers who preferred Bose’s presentation.

JBL deals: the clearest value ladder
JBL Flip 7: $100
The Flip 7 was the compact all-rounder. It made the most sense for a buyer who wanted one speaker for travel, rooms, patios and casual outdoor use without paying for a large enclosure.
JBL Charge 6: $130
The JBL Charge 6 was reported at $130 and described as 35% off. It cost more than the Flip 7 but was the better upgrade for shoppers who prioritized longer playback, fuller outdoor sound and a larger body. Engadget noted that the discount applied to only some colors, so the exact finish mattered.

A larger speaker is not automatically better for a desk, backpack or short trips.
JBL Xtreme 4: $280
The JBL Xtreme 4 was reported at $280, down from about $379. It was the JBL pick for outdoor groups, patios and small gatherings where a Flip or Charge might not provide enough physical scale.
Its size makes it a poor substitute for a travel speaker. Check the exact product page, seller, condition and return policy when evaluating a future deal; search pages can mix new, open-box, refurbished and marketplace listings.

Sony ULT Field 1: $88
Yahoo Shopping listed the Sony ULT Field 1 at $88 rather than $140. It was the lower-cost Sony option for shoppers drawn to the ULT range’s bass-enhancement controls.
That tuning is not ideal for everyone. Extra bass can suit pop, hip-hop and electronic music, but listeners who mainly play acoustic music, podcasts or vocals may prefer the more balanced Bose Flex or the broader all-round character attributed to the JBL Flip 7. The available evidence for the Sony models is deal coverage rather than direct testing for this article, so treat the recommendation as a use-case match, not an objective sound-quality ranking.
Sony ULT Field 5: $198
The Sony ULT Field 5 was reported at $198 and described as 43% off, although the available coverage did not clearly state a comparable original price. It was the larger, louder and more bass-focused Sony choice.
The Field 5 made sense for someone who wanted a substantial portable speaker and enjoyed bass effects. It was less suitable for compact travel or listeners seeking a neutral presentation. Sony’s official electronics site is electronics.sony.com.

Ultimate Ears deals: compact, casual and outdoor-friendly
Ultimate Ears MINIROLL: $50
The Ultimate Ears MINIROLL was reported at $50, down from $80. It was the smallest and least expensive notable deal in the group, making it appealing for gifts, travel and grab-and-go listening.
The compromise is physical capability. A tiny speaker cannot match a Flip 7, Charge 6 or MEGABOOM 4 for bass, volume or battery capacity. Its discount percentage was attractive, but percentage discount alone did not make it the better speaker for a buyer who wanted full sound.
Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM 4: $60
The WONDERBOOM 4 was listed at $60, down from $100. It was the best compact waterproof-oriented option for poolside, beach and casual outdoor use in this roundup.
Its smaller size made it easier to carry than the MEGABOOM 4, but it could not match that model’s volume or low-end authority. “Waterproof” marketing should still be read alongside the manufacturer’s precise protection claims and the practical risks of sand, impact, salt water and a wet charging port.
Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM 4: $150
The MEGABOOM 4 was reported at $150, down from $200. It was the better Ultimate Ears choice for larger outdoor sound and casual gatherings, while remaining more portable than the biggest party speakers.
Choose the MEGABOOM 4 over the WONDERBOOM 4 when volume and fuller sound matter more than minimum size. Choose the WONDERBOOM 4 when portability and a lower purchase price matter more.

- Choose the JBL Charge 6 for more battery and a fuller outdoor presentation.
- Choose the Sony ULT Field 1 or Field 5 for bass enhancement.

How to judge a future speaker deal
- Confirm the exact model and generation. The Bose SoundLink Flex name can refer to different generations and list-price references.
- Compare the actual selling price, not only the claimed discount. A large percentage off MSRP may be less meaningful if the speaker regularly sells below MSRP.
- Check color and configuration. The 2025 Charge 6 discount did not apply equally to every color, and other retailers may vary by finish or bundle.
- Verify the seller and condition. Make sure the listing is new rather than refurbished, open-box or marketplace stock.
- Match the speaker to the setting. Mini and compact models suit travel; mid-size speakers suit patios; large models suit groups but are heavier.
- Read durability claims precisely. Water resistance, an IP rating, floatability and drop resistance are different features. Dry a charging port before connecting a cable.
- Check app and pairing support. Confirm stereo pairing, party modes, multipoint, EQ controls and cross-generation compatibility if those features matter to you.
- Treat battery estimates as maximum claims. Volume, bass modes, temperature, battery age and phone-charging use can reduce runtime.
- Review returns and warranty terms. A cheap listing is less valuable if it has restricted returns or unclear warranty coverage.
The archived 2025 prices are useful benchmarks for future promotions. They do not establish that any of these deals remains active in 2026. For current availability, check the manufacturer or an authorized retailer’s exact product page.
