ASUS ROG Ally handhelds
The roundup listed two versions of the original ASUS ROG Ally, each described as $150 off. The Z1 Extreme model was $499.99; the standard Ryzen Z1 model was $349.99. These are different processor configurations, so the lower price does not refer to the Z1 Extreme version. The story also distinguishes the original Ally from the ROG Ally X.
For the original device, the article listed a 7-inch 1920 × 1080 LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and FreeSync Premium, 16GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory, a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD and a 40Wh battery.

| 55 inches | $999.99 | $400 |
| 48 inches | $599.99 | $200 |

How to use these prices when shopping now
Treat the figures as historical reference points, not a live Best Buy price list or a promise of a future discount. When comparing a current offer, match the exact configuration and check the retailer’s present listing for price, condition, stock and any purchase restrictions. For the Ally, confirm whether the listing is for the Ryzen Z1 or Z1 Extreme original model, or for the distinct Ally X. For a B4, compare the same screen size; for the MacBook Air, confirm the chip, memory and storage.
Best Buy deal coverage recurred in other years, but those roundups describe their own dated offers rather than validating 2024 prices. For examples of separate years, see Tom’s Guide’s roundup updated November 21, 2025 and Laptop Mag’s October 27, 2023 coverage.
