Amazon’s October 2025 phone sale has ended. Prime Big Deal Days ran in the U.S. on October 7–8, 2025, so the prices below are a historical recap—not live offers. The standout cash discount was the unlocked Google Pixel 10 at $649, while some Samsung promotions depended on configuration or trade-in value.
Do not assume an archived product page still has the same price, seller, stock, coupon, or condition. Check the listing’s current price, “Sold by” field, warranty, and return terms before buying.

The Pixel 10 was the clearest all-around deal: $649 instead of $799, a straightforward $150 cash reduction. It was a newly released flagship-class Pixel receiving its first major discount, according to contemporaneous coverage and later price-history reporting from Tom’s Guide.
#1 Best Overall
- YOUR CONTENT, SUPER SMOOTH: The ultra-clear 6.7" FHD+ Super AMOLED display of Galaxy A17 5G helps bring your content to life, whether you're scrolling through recipes or video chatting with loved ones.¹
- LIVE FAST. CHARGE FASTER: Focus more on the moment and less on your battery percentage with Galaxy A17 5G. Super Fast Charging powers up your battery so you can get back to life sooner.²
- MEMORIES MADE PICTURE PERFECT: Capture every angle in stunning clarity, from wide family photos to close-ups of friends, with the triple-lens camera on Galaxy A17 5G.
- NEED MORE STORAGE? WE HAVE YOU COVERED: With an improved 2TB of expandable storage, Galaxy A17 5G makes it easy to keep cherished photos, videos and important files readily accessible whenever you need them.³
- BUILT TO LAST: With an improved IP54 rating, Galaxy A17 5G is even more durable than before.⁴ It’s built to resist splashes and dust and comes with a stronger yet slimmer Gorilla Glass Victus front and Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer back.
That price made it more accessible than the Pixel 10 Pro models while preserving the standard Pixel line’s camera and software advantages. It was also more transparent than offers requiring a trade-in, new wireless line, or bill credits.
Before treating $649 as a buying target, verify the exact storage capacity, unlocked status, condition, seller, and warranty. The evidence supports the sale price, but not a claim that it was the lowest price ever across every retailer.
Best budget option: Google Pixel 9a for $349
The Pixel 9a fell to $349 from a listed $499 price. For shoppers who wanted a new, unlocked phone below $400, it was potentially a better value than an older flagship sold at a similar price—provided the listing was the new 128GB version and not renewed or refurbished.

Its appeal was the combination of Google’s camera processing and software support with a lower purchase price than the Pixel 10. However, the Pixel 10’s arrival and later holiday promotions could reduce the advantage of the 9a discount. Compare the current-generation alternative rather than assuming the larger percentage saving means the better phone.
Best Samsung deal: Galaxy S25 Edge, approximately $730
The 512GB Galaxy S25 Edge was reported at about $730 after an advertised discount of roughly $490 from a $1,220 reference price. Its headline strengths included a 5.8mm-thin design, a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, and Samsung’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, as reported by PhoneArena.
The trade-off is practical rather than purely financial: an unusually thin phone can involve compromises in battery capacity, camera hardware, or sustained performance. The $1,220 figure should also be treated as a reference price—not automatically as the recent market price or universal manufacturer MSRP.

Check whether the price required Prime membership, a coupon, a particular seller, or a specific color and storage option. The exact Amazon listing should determine whether the offer was new, unlocked, and covered by the expected U.S. warranty.
Best premium Samsung option: Galaxy S25 Ultra
October coverage reported the Galaxy S25 Ultra at up to $350 off, but the available record does not establish the exact storage configuration or final cash price. That makes it impossible to rank the offer precisely beside the Pixel 10 Pro XL.
The S25 Ultra was the more appropriate choice for buyers prioritizing Samsung’s S Pen, long-range camera system, large display, battery, and premium hardware. The Pixel 10 Pro XL may be preferable for shoppers focused on Google’s camera processing and software experience. Compare the actual out-of-pocket price, not merely “up to $350 off.” Also check Samsung’s direct store for storage bonuses or trade-in promotions at Samsung.com.

Best foldable offer: Galaxy Z Fold 7, but only conditionally
The reported Galaxy Z Fold 7 promotion offered up to $1,000 in enhanced trade-in value. That is not the same as an instant $1,000 price cut.
The final value could depend on the phone being traded in, its condition, storage, financing, carrier activation, or another promotional requirement. A fair comparison should show:
- the phone’s cash price without a trade-in;
- the eligible device and realistic trade-in credit;
- whether any amount arrived as Amazon credit or a gift card;
- whether financing or a new wireless line was required; and
- what happened if the trade-in was rejected or valued below the estimate.
For that reason, the Fold 7 belongs in a conditional-deal category rather than beside the Pixel’s unconditional cash discounts.
Best Value

Amazon versus Google, Samsung, and other retailers
Amazon was not automatically the cheapest place for every buyer. Google Store promotions could combine checkout discounts, trade-in value, bill credits, and bundled services, while Samsung could offer storage bonuses or enhanced trade-in amounts. Review current offers at the Google Store offers page and Samsung’s trade-in page rather than comparing headline percentages alone.
Best Buy, Walmart, and carriers may also beat an Amazon cash price for a customer willing to accept activation, financing, or bill credits. Those offers are not equivalent to an unlocked phone bought outright. For a personal-finance comparison, rank offers by final out-of-pocket cost first, then account for trade-in value, warranty, flexibility, and any subscription or service commitment.
How to avoid a bad phone deal
- Confirm the date and price. Prime Big Deal Days ended October 8, 2025. An old link may now show a different price or newer model.
- Check the exact configuration. Storage, color, model number, and U.S. compatibility can change the value.
- Verify condition. Look for “New,” not Renewed, refurbished, or open-box, unless the discount justifies the risk.
- Review the seller fields. Check both “Sold by” and “Ships from.” Marketplace listings may have different warranties, accessories, return terms, or international model numbers.
- Separate cash savings from promotional value. A coupon, gift card, trade-in credit, carrier bill credit, and financing offer should not be described as the same kind of discount.
- Calculate Prime’s cost. The 2025 event was for Prime members. Amazon’s event FAQ listed $14.99 monthly or $139 annually at the time, but those were 2025 figures and should not be treated as current pricing in 2026.
- Read the return and trade-in terms. A trade-in estimate can change after inspection, and a carrier promotion may require months of service.
Bottom line
The Google Pixel 10 at $649 was the strongest verified October 2025 cash deal, while the Pixel 9a at $349 was the most compelling lower-cost option. Samsung’s S25 Edge offer looked unusually large but needed configuration and seller checks; the S25 Ultra figure was incomplete, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 promotion was primarily enhanced trade-in value. These deals are historical and should not be treated as live August 2026 prices.
