For a completed Swiggy Food order, open Account/Profile → Orders, select the order, open its detailed bill, and choose the available Invoice, Tax Invoice, Bill Details, or Download Invoice option. The wording can vary by app version, order type, and restaurant billing setup, and not every order includes a separate GST tax invoice.
Download the invoice in the Swiggy app
- Open the Swiggy app and sign in with the account or mobile number used to place the order.
- Tap Account or Profile.
- Open Orders or Order History.
- Select the completed order you need.
- Open View Details, Bill Details, or the full order view.
- Look for Download Invoice, View Invoice, Tax Invoice, or a similar receipt or invoice control.
- Open the document and use your phone’s download, share, print, or save option.
Swiggy can change its interface, so do not assume one button name is permanent. The usual route is supported by current third-party walkthrough coverage, but Swiggy’s official support page does not publish one universal invoice-download path. See this invoice walkthrough and Swiggy Help & Support.

Save the file on Android
If the invoice opens as a PDF, tap the download icon or use the share menu. It will typically be saved in the phone’s Downloads folder, although the exact location depends on the PDF viewer and device.
Save the file on iPhone
Tap the share icon and choose Save to Files, Mail, Messages, or another destination. If the file opens in a browser or PDF viewer, use that app’s share or download control.

The website is a useful fallback if the app is not displaying the document:
- Open Swiggy’s website.
- Sign in with the same account or registered mobile number.
- Open the profile or account menu.
- Go to Orders or order history.
- Select the relevant completed order.
- Open the order details and look for an invoice, bill, or receipt option.
- Save the document or use your browser’s print command to save it as a PDF.
This is a fallback rather than a guaranteed identical alternative. The app and website may expose different order-history or document options.
Invoice, receipt, bill details, and GST invoice: what is the difference?
- Order summary: Shows items, fees, discounts, payment information, and order details.
- Receipt: Evidence that the order or payment took place. It may be sent by email.
- Bill details: An in-app breakdown of the order and charges.
- Tax invoice/GST invoice: A formal tax document with relevant supplier information, invoice number and date, taxable value, tax breakup, and total.
An email confirmation, payment receipt, screenshot, or order summary is not automatically a GST-compliant tax invoice. For reimbursement, download the actual document and check that it shows the merchant, order or invoice number, date, items or service description, amount, applicable taxes, and total paid. Whether an employer accepts a receipt instead of a tax invoice depends on its policy.
How to get a GST invoice
Request a GST invoice specifically if that is what your employer, accountant, or tax records require. Availability depends on the restaurant’s GST registration, billing setup, order type, and the information available for the transaction.

Swiggy’s terms and conditions state that the final tax bill is issued by the relevant merchant and, where applicable, the platform delivery partner. Swiggy generally collects payment on the merchant’s behalf; it does not universally guarantee that every order will have a separate GST invoice issued by Swiggy.
Inspect the document for the restaurant or merchant name, GSTIN where applicable, invoice number, invoice date, taxable value, tax rates and amounts, and total. An example Swiggy invoice includes restaurant information, tax details, invoice totals, and electronic-commerce-operator details, but its format should not be treated as a guarantee for every current order.
Invoice option missing? Try these fixes
- Confirm that the order is fully marked Delivered. An invoice may not be available while an order is being prepared, delivered, cancelled, or refunded.
- Reopen the exact order and expand Bill Details or the detailed order view.
- Check that you are using the original Swiggy account and mobile number.
- Update or restart the app, then sign out and back in if necessary.
- Try the Swiggy website.
- Search the registered email account for “Swiggy,” “invoice,” or “receipt.” An email receipt may exist even when a separate PDF invoice does not.
- Raise an in-order support request if the document is still unavailable.
For an old order, search by restaurant name, delivery date, amount, order ID, and the original phone number. Swiggy does not publish a single guaranteed retention period for every invoice type, so contact support if the order or document is no longer visible.

Request the invoice from Swiggy Support
- Open the relevant order.
- Tap Help, Support, or the order-help control.
- Choose the closest billing, payment, invoice, or order-details category.
- Specify whether you need a normal receipt, a copy of the bill, or a GST tax invoice.
Include the order ID, order date, restaurant name, registered mobile number, amount paid, and the exact problem—for example, “the invoice option is missing” or “the PDF will not open.” You can write:

Please provide the invoice/GST invoice for order [order ID], placed on [date] from [restaurant]. The invoice option is not visible/download is failing. I used the account registered to [mobile number].
Prefer the help option inside the order because it preserves the order context. Swiggy also lists [email protected] on its contact page. Never send a password, UPI PIN, full card number, or other sensitive authentication information.
When the PDF will not open or download
- Retry from the detailed order page rather than the notification or email link.
- Update the Swiggy app.
- Try the website, another browser, or another device.
- Use the PDF viewer’s Open in, download, or share option.
- Ask support for a fresh copy or an alternative receipt.
Avoid unofficial scripts, reverse-engineered endpoints, browser extensions, or third-party invoice-download tools. Historical code references do not establish a safe or current public method.
Food orders versus Instamart and Dineout
The steps above focus on Swiggy Food delivery. Swiggy’s app also covers groceries through Instamart, dining, pickup, and other services, and those transactions may use different order-history sections and document formats. For Instamart, open the grocery order and look for its own invoice or tax-invoice control rather than assuming the Food path is identical. For Dineout, the relevant document may be the merchant’s restaurant bill rather than a normal delivery-order invoice. Swiggy’s current service scope is described in its Google Play listing.

What if the restaurant bill differs from the Swiggy total?
The restaurant’s tax invoice may cover the food and applicable merchant taxes, while the final Swiggy checkout amount can also include delivery, platform, packaging, discounts, and other charges. Compare the invoice with the in-app payment summary instead of expecting every checkout line item to appear on the restaurant invoice.

Can I download an invoice after delivery?
Usually, start from the completed order in Account/Profile → Orders and open its bill or invoice control. If it is missing, try the troubleshooting steps and contact support with the order details.
Why is the invoice button missing on Swiggy?
The order may not be fully completed, the invoice may be inside Bill Details, you may be using the wrong account, the order type may use a different document flow, or the restaurant may not provide a separate invoice. App issues and older-order availability can also be factors.

Not necessarily. A receipt confirms the order or payment, while a GST invoice should contain relevant merchant and tax information. Inspect the document and request a GST invoice specifically if required.

Can I get an invoice for an old Swiggy order?
You can try opening the old order or searching the registered email, but Swiggy does not publish one universal retention period for all invoice types. Contact support if the order or document is unavailable.
Can Swiggy issue a GST invoice later?
It depends on the merchant’s GST registration, billing setup, order details, and the applicable billing arrangement. Swiggy cannot be assumed to create a GST invoice for every order after the fact.
What if the restaurant name or tax breakup is missing?
Ask Swiggy support for the appropriate merchant bill or GST invoice and explain which fields are missing. Do not assume that an order summary is sufficient for tax or reimbursement purposes.

What if the order was cancelled or refunded?
A final invoice may not be available for a cancelled order, and a refund record may be more relevant. Open the order’s help section and ask support for the applicable bill, receipt, or refund documentation.
