The Bank of Baroda recruitment described as “BOB recruitment 2023” was actually its 2024 Manager–Security hiring round, and applications are no longer open. The bank advertised 38 regular posts across India, set 10 February 2024 as the application deadline, and published a final-result notice on 25 September 2024.

What the Bank of Baroda notice covered

The recruitment was for Manager – Security (MMG/S-II) in the bank’s Security Department, on a regular basis. Its advertisement number was BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2024/01. The official Bank of Baroda recruitment page lists 38 vacancies, a pan-India location and an application deadline of 10 February 2024.

The “2023” wording in the search title does not match the advertisement year. The application window opened on 19 January 2024 and ran through the bank’s website, according to Scroll’s January 2024 report.

Eligibility stated for the 2024 recruitment

The reported requirements combined a degree, qualifying professional service, and an age limit. The bank’s detailed advertisement contains the controlling rules; its PDF is linked from the official recruitment page. Because category-specific relaxations and exceptions depend on the full notice, check that original document rather than relying on this summary.

Education

Applicants needed a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute. A computer-course certificate of at least three months, or IT-related study at graduation level or later, was described as preferable—not as a mandatory qualification—in the advertisement summary.

Qualifying service

The reported service routes required at least five years in one of these roles:

  • Commissioned service in the Army, Navy or Air Force.
  • Service as a Class-I gazetted police officer, at least at the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police.
  • Service as a Class-I gazetted paramilitary officer, at or above Assistant Commandant rank.

Emergency and Short Service Commissioned Officers were subject to additional release and service conditions. The detailed advertisement should be consulted for those conditions and the required supporting documents.

Age

The reported age range was 25–35 years as of 1 January 2024, with relaxations for reserved categories. The precise category-wise rules and any exceptions are set out in the original advertisement.

Application fee and deadline

Applications closed on 10 February 2024, so the fee figures are historical and do not describe a current application process. Scroll reported fees of ₹600 for General, EWS and OBC applicants and ₹100 for SC, ST and women applicants. Check the official notice for the fee terms that applied to this round.

Selection result and what it means

Bank of Baroda published a final-result notice dated 25 September 2024. It listed four registration numbers as provisionally selected, subject to documentary proof of eligibility. The notice said separate communication would be sent to those candidates’ registered email addresses and served as intimation to other participants. The count of four names in that notice does not establish that only four of the 38 advertised vacancies were filled.

The bank’s official recruitment page links the final result as well as earlier written-test and interview notices. The result notice confirms that the process concluded; it does not provide a basis to infer the outcome for every advertised vacancy.

Where to check the original documents

For the authoritative record, use the recruitment page on Bank of Baroda’s website. It identifies the advertisement, vacancy count, location and deadline, and links to the related recruitment notices and detailed advertisement. The bank’s final-result notice is the source for the September 2024 selection update. For any future recruitment, rely on the date and terms in the new official notice rather than carrying over details from this closed round.
