The report, published on 18 February 2024, said the car was one Thompson had wanted for years; it did not establish a current market valuation or confirm that the pair had reconciled.
What car did Anna Paul give Glen Thompson?
PerthNow reported that Paul gifted Thompson a Nissan Skyline GT-R R33, describing it as his dream car. According to the report, the reveal followed dinner with both families. Paul drew Thompson’s attention to the car beside hers, asked if he liked it, then unlocked it and handed him the keys. He reportedly became emotional.
PerthNow quoted Paul describing the car as something Glen had wanted “our whole lives” and reproduced her Instagram caption: “No one deserves it more than Glen💛”. Those words are attributed to Paul by PerthNow; the original social posts have not been independently authenticated here.
What is the reported value—and what does it mean?
PerthNow put the gift’s value at about A$400,000. It also said the R33 had been discontinued in 2002 and that the car’s value had reached up to A$424,050 in 2022. These are figures in PerthNow’s February 2024 report, not an independent appraisal or a verified present-day market price. A separate NDTV article repeated the A$400,000 figure while attributing the story to PerthNow, so it does not provide an independent valuation.

For a high-value used car, a reported figure alone does not establish what a particular vehicle is worth. Condition, modifications and provenance can matter, and a valuation needs a date and vehicle-specific evidence. The available reporting does not give enough information to assess this car on those terms.
Did the gift mean they got back together?
The gift prompted fans to speculate about a reunion, but the reporting did not establish that Paul and Thompson had resumed their relationship. PerthNow placed the gift after their reported separation in August 2023, following an eight-year relationship. The story’s affectionate language and the gift are not confirmation of a reconciliation.
