What Evotrex announced
Evotrex announced its emergence from stealth on November 6, 2025, alongside a $16 million Pre-A round led by Xstar Capital. The company also named Unity Ventures, Kylinhall Partners, Vision Plus Capital and the founders of Anker Innovations among its backers. It said the funding would expand engineering and product teams and help advance commercialization of its first product, a power-generating RV trailer. Evotrex’s announcement via GlobeNewswire and TechCrunch’s coverage described Anker’s connection to the startup; TechCrunch later reported a $30 million Series A in June 2026, bringing reported funding to $46 million and identifying Anker as a seed investor. How the PG5 hybrid RV is designed to work
Evotrex now calls its first product the Evotrex-PG5. It is a towable trailer, not an electric tow vehicle. The hybrid premise is that a battery supplies power to the living area, electronics and an electric motor, while a gas-powered onboard generator can recharge the battery. Evotrex’s current product page lists a 43 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, up to 1.5 kW of integrated solar and a 75 kW generator. Price, preorder terms and estimated timing
Evotrex announced the PG5 at CES on January 6, 2026, and opened preorders. The company’s current preorder page lists the standard model from $119,990 and Premium from $159,990, with a $100 fully refundable deposit. These are company-listed prices, not independent dealer quotes; the page says pricing, options and specifications may change until a customer’s build is finalized. Current PG5 preorder information

The schedule has shifted. Evotrex initially said production was expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, and later FAQ copy retained a target before the end of that year. The current preorder page instead estimates production in the second half of 2027 and says Premium buyers will receive priority delivery when production begins in the first half of 2027. What to check before placing a preorder
Confirm the tow vehicle can handle the trailer
The listed dry weight is not the only figure that matters: Evotrex also lists a higher GVWR, and towing suitability depends on the specific vehicle and trailer configuration. Evotrex advises customers to consult the tow vehicle’s manual and check with the manufacturer or dealer. Do not infer that a vehicle is suitable from its advertised towing capacity alone.
Separate advertised capability from tested performance
The 270+ kWh usable-energy figure and 7+ days of off-grid living are company claims. The cited material does not provide independent testing or real-world results to establish how the trailer performs under particular weather, power-use or travel conditions.

Account for schedule and final-build uncertainty
Compare the current production estimate and preorder terms with your own travel plans and budget. The company says prices, options and specifications can change until the build is finalized, and its production estimate has moved from earlier 2026 expectations.
Compare ownership needs, not just headline power figures
When comparing the PG5 with another towable RV, assess purchase price and delivery confidence alongside loaded towing requirements, battery capacity, generator output and fuel needs, solar and charging, water capacity, claimed off-grid duration, warranty and service support, and final production specifications. The available sources do not establish independent head-to-head performance against named competitors.
