Travel Tuesday fares
American’s December 2024 announcement promoted domestic round trips under $200 for travel in 2025. It also offered savings of up to 50% on AAdvantage miles purchases from November 29 through December 2, 2024. Those dates describe a completed promotion, not a recurring annual discount or a fare currently available for purchase.
American’s announcement also attributed a “fivefold” increase in consumer interest in Travel Tuesday over the prior few years to a recent McKinsey report, saying air-travel bookings led the way. The statistic is American’s characterization of that report; it should not be treated as an independently verified current measure.
March spring fares
In March 2025, American advertised one-way fares starting at $115. The named destinations included Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Nashville, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, Mexico City, Miami, Sarasota, Tampa, West Palm Beach, Cancun, Punta Cana, Montego Bay, and San Juan. The announcement described the fares as available during March; it does not establish that the same prices or routes remain available now.

Where to find fares available now
Use American’s round-trip deals page to check current listings. American says displayed fares were collected within the previous 24 hours and may change or disappear before you book. Current listings are separate from the expired 2025 promotions and do not establish what those older fares cost on a particular itinerary.
Before choosing a fare, compare the full itinerary and its conditions rather than relying on the advertised lead price:

Availability and terms are conditional, so check the rules shown for the itinerary before relying on a hold. American’s FAQ
