If it is still available at that price, it would cost $13.97 less over three months than paying Microsoft’s announced US monthly rate of $22.99—a saving of about $4.66 per month, not more than $10. The larger claim used the former $29.99 monthly rate.
Is Amazon’s $55 three-month Game Pass deal available now?
Current Amazon availability, price, seller and stock have not been verified. GameSpot reported the three-month prepaid code for $55 on October 16, 2025; Windows Central reported it at $54.99 that month. Treat those figures as dated deal coverage, not a current quote. GameSpot’s October 2025 report and Windows Central’s coverage describe the offer at the time.

Before buying, check the live listing’s price, seller, region, account eligibility and code terms. The October 2025 reports described redemption with a US Xbox account and the ability to extend an existing subscription, but those dated terms do not establish today’s rules.
How much would $55 save at the current announced US rate?
Microsoft announced that US Game Pass Ultimate monthly billing fell from $29.99 to $22.99 effective April 21, 2026. Microsoft notes that prices may vary by region. At $22.99 per month, three months of monthly billing total $68.97. A $55 code would therefore save $13.97 across three months, or about $4.66 per month, if Amazon still offers it for $55 and the code works for your account. Xbox Wire’s pricing announcement sets out the US rate and the plan changes.

| Three-month option | Cost | Difference versus $55 code |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft monthly billing at $22.99 per month | $68.97 | $13.97 more |
| Historical Amazon prepaid code | $55 | Baseline; live availability unverified |
The headline’s “over $10 per month” comparison came from the old $29.99 monthly price: three months at that rate cost $89.97, making a $55 code $34.97 cheaper overall, or about $11.66 per month. That comparison no longer reflects Microsoft’s announced US monthly rate.
Prepaid code or monthly billing: what should you compare?
A prepaid code can lower the total cost for a fixed period if its live price is below the equivalent monthly payments. Monthly Microsoft billing is recurring until cancelled, according to Xbox’s plan comparison page. Compare the same subscription length and confirm whether the code extends your existing plan or changes its renewal date before you buy.

What is changing for Game Pass Ultimate?
Xbox says Ultimate continues to include hundreds of games on Xbox console and PC, in-game benefits, online console multiplayer, unlimited Xbox Cloud Gaming and major day-one releases. However, starting in 2026, future Call of Duty games will not join Ultimate or PC Game Pass at launch; Xbox says new titles will arrive during the following holiday season. Existing Call of Duty titles already in the library remain available. See Microsoft’s April 2026 announcement for the stated plan details.

Cloud gaming hours from November 2026
In a September 3, 2026 announcement, Xbox said Ultimate will include 15 cloud-gaming hours per month beginning in November 2026. Subscribers will be able to buy additional cloud-playtime hours through the Xbox Store, but the announcement did not provide prices. Xbox said the change may vary by market and expected it to affect 4% of subscribers. These are announced future terms, not a description of the allowance in effect before November. Xbox Wire’s September announcement provides the details.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you use cloud-enabled Game Pass without an Xbox console?
Yes, for supported cloud gaming, Amazon documents an Xbox app setup on selected Fire TV devices with a compatible Bluetooth controller. Its guide lists the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023), Fire TV Stick 4K (2023), Fire TV Stick 4K Max (1st Gen) and Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen), and names Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, DualSense and DualShock 4 as compatible controllers. The guide’s $49.99 starting price for supported Fire TV devices was current when published, not a current quote. Check Amazon’s Fire TV Game Pass guide for device support and setup details. This is one cloud-play option; it is not a requirement for subscribers playing on console or PC.
