Who can get six months of Prime for free?
Amazon describes the US offer as available to higher-education students and people ages 18–24. That is the published eligibility description, not a guarantee that every person in either group will be approved or see the same offer. The available Amazon materials do not spell out every account-level exclusion or the full verification process. Check the offer presented to your account and its terms before proceeding.
How much does Prime for Young Adults cost after the trial?
For the current US offer, Amazon lists a six-month free trial followed by either $7.49 per month or $69 per year. Review the enrollment screen for the price and billing choice that apply before you accept; offers and prices can change. Amazon’s offer page is the source for the Young Adults pricing.
For comparison, Amazon lists standard US Prime at $14.99 monthly or $139 annually. Amazon says its discounted membership options include the same regular Prime benefits, so the lower price is not described as a reduced-benefit tier. Is the offer the same outside the United States?
No. Amazon UK describes a separate offer for students in higher education and UK residents ages 18–24: six months free, then £4.49 monthly or £47.49 annually. These are UK prices and eligibility terms; they should not be combined with the US offer. See Amazon UK’s offer details.

How to decide whether it is worth it
Compare the post-trial price with the value you expect to get from delivery, entertainment, and other Prime benefits. The six free months can make trying the membership less expensive upfront, but the recurring price is the relevant figure when deciding whether to keep it. Before enrolling, confirm the price, billing option, eligibility terms, and what Amazon says will happen when the trial ends on the offer screen.
