Altium completed its acquisition of Milwaukee-based Part Analytics and announced the deal on January 21, 2025. The companies described Part Analytics as AI-powered electronics procurement and supply-chain software; Altium said it plans to bring component and parts management into Altium 365 for enterprise users.
What is Part Analytics?
Part Analytics is software for electronics procurement and supply-chain management, not a physical product. The company describes its platform as a way to digitize electronics procurement and bring information from separate sources together so teams can make data-informed sourcing decisions. See Part Analytics’ company description.
Altium’s product material says the platform is intended to give engineering, procurement, and supply-chain teams visibility into bill-of-materials (BOM) health, component pricing, risk, lifecycle, availability, and total spend. Altium also describes monitoring and alerts, automated requests for quotation (RFQs), and connections to PLM and ERP systems, flat files, and external market data. These are vendor-described capabilities, not independently tested results. Altium’s Part Analytics product page provides its current overview.
Why did Altium acquire Part Analytics?
Altium said the acquisition would extend its cloud ecosystem beyond electronics design to cover more of the value chain, including sourcing, component acquisition, and lifecycle management. Its stated plan was to add a component and parts-management application to Altium 365 and serve electronics supply-chain and category managers alongside its existing customer groups.

That is Altium’s strategic rationale, not proof that every planned integration has been delivered or that customers have achieved particular outcomes. In the acquisition release, Altium President Aram Mirkazemi called the deal “a further step forward toward our vision of a fully connected electronics value chain and Electronics Lifecycle Management system for enterprise organizations.” Altium’s newsroom published the completion announcement on January 21, 2025.
What does the deal mean for Altium 365 users?
The announced intention was to bring Part Analytics’ component and parts-management capabilities into Altium 365, connecting design work more closely with sourcing and procurement processes. The announcement identifies that direction but does not establish which integration features have since shipped, when they became available, or whether they are included in particular Altium 365 plans. Users evaluating the software should confirm current availability and terms directly with Altium.

Part Analytics founder and CEO Jithendra Palasagaram said customers could continue to expect the same product experience and customer support as part of Altium. That is a company assurance made in the acquisition announcement, rather than an independently verified account of subsequent service.
