AirMDR announced a $15.5 million seed round on July 9, 2025, led by Race Capital, with continued backing from Foundation Capital and Storm Ventures. The company said it will use the capital to scale its reach, expand its partner network and further develop its AI analysts. This is enterprise cybersecurity financing news—not a personal-finance product or consumer investment opportunity.
How much funding did AirMDR raise?
AirMDR said it raised $15.5 million in seed funding in an announcement dated July 9, 2025. Race Capital also described itself as leading the round, alongside Foundation Capital and Storm Ventures. AirMDR’s announcement and Race Capital’s announcement support those details.
The 2025 funding followed an earlier $5 million seed round announced in June 2024, led by Foundation Capital with Storm Ventures participating. The two rounds are separate; the 2025 announcement was not AirMDR’s first financing. AirMDR’s 2024 announcement provides the earlier-round details.
What does AirMDR do?
AirMDR describes its offering as an AI-native managed detection and response (MDR) service, alongside a security operations center (SOC) platform. In broad terms, MDR providers monitor security alerts, investigate potential threats and help customers determine what needs attention or response.
#1 Best Overall
AirMDR says its software uses AI to triage and investigate alerts, with human analysts supervising the work, validating findings and escalating issues. The company positions its managed service for small and midsize businesses, and its platform for managed security service providers (MSSPs) and enterprise SOC teams. Its product page lists sources such as endpoint, cloud, identity, network and phishing alerts, as well as integrations and continuous monitoring. Those are vendor-described capabilities; precise coverage and current availability should be confirmed with AirMDR.
What did AirMDR say the funding will support?
AirMDR said the investment would help it scale its reach, expand its partner network and continue developing its AI analysts. The company’s partner ambitions are relevant to MSSPs that may provide security services to their own customers, though the announcement does not establish a public partner-program offer or commercial terms.
CEO Kumar Saurabh framed the company’s goal this way: “We believe that every business, regardless of size or budget, deserves the same level of detection and response as the Fortune 500.” That is a statement of mission, not a measured service outcome.

AirMDR’s funding announcement says its AI triages 95% of alerts in under five minutes. It also describes a customer deployment in which nearly 80% of security findings were triaged. Both figures are company-reported: the announcement does not provide a test methodology or independent validation, and the deployment example should not be treated as a typical result or a guarantee. The announcement is the source for both claims.

For an organization evaluating an MDR provider, the figures are only part of the picture. Buyers should ask how the provider defines an alert and a completed triage, what evidence is available for each case, how human review and escalation work, which sources and integrations are covered, whether monitoring is 24/7, what response actions the provider is authorized to take, and what service-level commitments and total costs apply. This funding announcement does not compare AirMDR with other MDR providers.
