The short answer
The best all-around laptop deal was the 13-inch M3 MacBook Air at a reported $844, while the $749 M2 MacBook Air was the safer budget choice than the much older M1 model. For tablets, the $499 11-inch M2 iPad Air offered the best balance for most people; the $249 10th-generation iPad was the low-cost winner if 64GB was enough. AirPods Pro 2 at about $154 was the standout audio discount, and the Apple Watch SE 2 at $149 was the strongest basic smartwatch value.

How to read this historical deal list
Prices below are archival U.S. Black Friday 2024 prices. A “saving” is calculated from the reference price reported by the source, but the source did not independently verify every “lowest ever” or “all-time low” claim. Prices varied by retailer, stock, color, storage, RAM, screen size, case size, band, connector, and seller.
The source page advertised 28 deals, but its visible detailed list and quick links were not perfectly consistent. The numbered list below preserves 28 distinct reported entries, including two MacBook Pro offers that appeared in the source’s quick-links section. Because one may reflect a page update or model-label inconsistency, verify the exact chip, display size, memory, storage, and retailer SKU before relying on either listing.

15-inch M3 MacBook Air, 8GB/256GB — $999, down from $1,299. Choose this when screen area matters more than portability. It is a larger-screen Air, not a fundamentally faster computer than a comparable 13-inch configuration.

13-inch M3 MacBook Air, 16GB/512GB — $1,049, down from $1,299. For many buyers, this was a better long-term purchase than the cheaper base model because both memory and storage were more comfortable. Compare the complete specification, not just the $205 saving.

15-inch M3 MacBook Air, 16GB/256GB — $1,044, down from $1,299. This combined the larger display with 16GB of memory. The 256GB storage remains the catch, especially for photographers, video editors, and anyone who keeps files locally.

M2 MacBook Air — $749, down from $999. This was the best budget MacBook recommendation for most shoppers. It was older than the M3 Air but substantially newer than the M1 model, making the modest extra cost over the $599 M1 deal easier to justify for buyers planning to keep the laptop for years.

M1 MacBook Air — $599, down from $999. It was the lowest-cost MacBook entry, but the 2020 model was already several generations old in 2024. It made sense only when the budget was extremely tight and the buyer accepted a shorter software-support horizon and older platform features.

14-inch M3 MacBook Pro, base configuration — $1,399, down from $1,599. The Pro was appropriate for sustained creative or technical workloads where active cooling, the higher-end display, and stronger configuration options mattered. For browsing, schoolwork, office tasks, and light editing, an Air was usually the better use of money.

14-inch M3 MacBook Pro, 16GB/1TB — $1,499, down from $1,699 at Best Buy. The extra memory and 1TB storage addressed two common weaknesses of base laptops. Confirm that the retailer listing actually matches this configuration rather than assuming every $1,499 M3 MacBook Pro has the same specification.

16-inch M3 Max MacBook Pro — $2,899, down from $3,399. This was the power-user deal, but not a general bargain. It was sensible for demanding professional workloads such as sustained video production, 3D work, large software projects, or other tasks that could use the Max chip, high memory, and larger display. Casual users would be paying for capacity they were unlikely to use.

Magic Mouse — $68, down from $79. This was a small accessory discount. Budget for a separate mouse or trackpad if you dislike its ergonomics; a lower price does not solve a poor fit.

iPad mini 7, 128GB Wi-Fi — $469, down from $499. The $30 reduction was not the largest percentage saving, but this was the compact-tablet choice for reading, travel, handheld gaming, and one-handed use. The small display is less comfortable for split-screen productivity.

11-inch M2 iPad Air, 128GB Wi-Fi — $499, down from $599. This was the best iPad for most users in the list: substantially more capable than the entry-level iPad and less expensive than the Pro. Remember that a keyboard and Apple Pencil can materially increase the final cost.

10th-generation iPad, 64GB Wi-Fi — $249, down from $349. This was the best cheap iPad for streaming, web use, schoolwork, and family use, but the $100 saving required clipping or applying an on-page coupon. The 64GB capacity is the major limitation for large games, photos, and downloaded video.

11-inch M4 iPad Pro, 256GB Wi-Fi — $849, down from $999. The M4 performance and OLED display made this the premium-tablet pick. It was poor value for casual browsing unless the buyer specifically valued those features or planned demanding creative work.

Include the membership cost when calculating the real saving; a one-time purchase may not justify paying for membership. Add the cost of a keyboard and Pencil before comparing it with a MacBook.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 — $719, down from $799. The Ultra 2 was aimed at endurance athletes, outdoor users, larger wrists, and buyers who valued rugged construction and battery capacity. It was excessive for basic notifications, payments, and activity tracking.

Apple Watch SE 2, 40mm — $149, down from $249. This was the strongest price-to-function deal for notifications, activity tracking, and basic Apple Watch use. It lacked some premium health and display features, so the Series 10 was easier to justify for buyers who specifically wanted the newest mainstream hardware.

AirPods 4 — $119, down from $129. This was the lowest-cost modern AirPods option in the list. The open-style fit may suit people who dislike silicone tips, but fit is personal and a low price does not guarantee better isolation.

AirPods Max with USB-C — $499, down from $549. This was the newer connector configuration, not simply the same product as the older Lightning model at a different price. It suited buyers who valued over-ear construction and Apple ecosystem integration more than lowest-cost noise cancellation.

AirPods Max with Lightning — $399, down from a reported $459 or $549 reference price. The lower price reflected the older connector configuration. It could be worthwhile if the discount mattered more than USB-C convenience, but do not treat it as an identical product to the USB-C version.
Apple Pencil

Apple Pencil Pro — $92, down from $129. This was the accessory pick for compatible newer iPads, particularly the M2 iPad Air and M4 iPad Pro models listed above. Apple Pencil models are not universally interchangeable, so verify compatibility before buying.
Bonus deals that did not fit the audited 28
The source also reported two useful accessory prices that are worth noting separately rather than silently inflating the numbered list:
- Apple Pencil USB-C — $69, down from $79. This is a different Pencil from the Pro model, with different features and compatibility. Check Apple’s Apple Pencil compatibility information for the specific iPad.
- AirTag four-pack — about $72–$72.99, down from $99. This was the best accessory deal for families or people tracking multiple keys, bags, and luggage. The four-pack only saves money if you expect to use all four.
What happened with the iPhone “free” deals?
Reported iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro offers at $0.01 or “free” belonged in a separate category from ordinary Apple hardware discounts. They were tied to qualifying Verizon promotions and may have required an eligible unlimited plan, a trade-in, a new line, taxes, activation fees, and monthly bill credits spread over a multiyear period.
Before treating one as a bargain, ask:
- Is a new line or eligible upgrade required?
- Which trade-in devices qualify, and what condition must they be in?
- How long do bill credits continue?
- What happens to the credits if you leave Verizon or change plans?
- Are taxes, activation fees, or device payments due upfront?
- Is the phone unlocked, and when?
- Would you have paid for the qualifying service anyway?
A carrier offer can reduce the upfront price, but it is not equivalent to an unlocked iPhone being reduced to one cent. Review the carrier’s terms at Verizon’s iPhone offers page before comparing total cost.
Deals worth approaching cautiously—or skipping
- M1 MacBook Air: The $599 price was compelling only for a severely constrained budget. The M2 or M3 Air offered a stronger longevity case.
- 64GB 10th-generation iPad: Skip it if you keep many games, photos, or videos on the device.
- iPad Pro: Its OLED display and M4 chip were attractive, but the tablet became much more expensive with a keyboard and Pencil. Casual users were unlikely to benefit enough.
- AirPods Max: Skip them if your priority was the best noise-cancelling value rather than premium over-ear design and Apple integration.
- Membership pricing: A My Best Buy Plus price could lose its advantage once membership cost was included.
- Carrier “free” iPhones: The apparent savings could disappear if the required plan cost more than your existing service or you expected to switch carriers.
How to avoid a bad Black Friday Apple purchase
- Match the specification. Confirm chip, RAM, storage, screen size, case size, connectivity, band, and charging connector.
- Check the offer type. Determine whether the price is a straight discount, coupon, membership price, or carrier credit.
- Calculate the complete cost. Include membership, service-plan, accessory, tax, activation, and financing costs.
- Inspect the seller. On Amazon or Walmart, check “sold by” and “shipped by,” return terms, and whether the item is new rather than refurbished.
- Check coupon mechanics. Some coupons required signing in, selecting a particular listing, or clipping a box before checkout.
- Compare the newer model. A large percentage discount on an older product is not automatically better than a smaller discount on a newer one.
- Budget for accessories. iPads may need a Pencil or keyboard; cellular watches require a compatible plan; storage upgrades can change the value calculation.
Apple’s first-party pages remain useful comparison references: Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and iPhone. They are reference points, not evidence that the 2024 sale prices remain available.
