The Track Pack adds carbon-fiber wheels, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, a package-specific MagneRide calibration and aerodynamic changes. It also deletes the rear seat. Ford says the combined changes reduce weight by about 150 pounds.
Ford says the Track Pack car generates 620 pounds of rear downforce at 180 mph. That is a manufacturer figure for rear downforce under the stated condition, not a whole-car downforce figure.

What makes the Dark Horse SC a track-focused Mustang?
The SC pairs a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Ford Racing published the final output on April 23, 2026: 795 horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque. Ford says each engine is hand-assembled by one technician at its Dearborn Engine plant.
Ford introduced the car on January 14, 2026, describing it as an in-house Ford Racing and road-car program informed by Mustang GT3 and GTD experience. Ford lists upgraded MagneRide dampers, revised springs and stabilizer bars, forged suspension links, updated knuckles and control arms, and variable traction control among the engineering changes.

Ford also says removing the hood-vent rain tray produces 2.5 times the downforce of the standard Dark Horse hood vent. This is a comparison of the vent configurations, not a whole-car downforce claim.

MotorTrend reported a $122,795 starting price for the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 coupe and $161,740 for a Z06 3LZ with Z07 Aero. These are article-reported figures, not current dealer quotes or a complete apples-to-apples comparison with the Mustang’s differently specified prices.

For a buyer deciding between them, price is only one part of the calculation.
