The SE and every hybrid trim cost more than $30,000 before taxes and other charges. The lineup offers more equipment and a hybrid option, but Honda’s specifications alone do not establish that every Accord is objectively sportier than its predecessor or rivals.
Which 2025 Honda Accord is under $30,000?
The LX is the only trim in Honda’s January 3, 2025 U.S. price list below $30,000 including destination. Its $29,445 destination-inclusive MSRP is not an out-the-door price: taxes, license, registration, options, and color upgrades are excluded, and dealer prices may vary. The listed destination charge is $1,150. Honda’s January 2025 pricing release provides the model-year figures.
The SE starts at $31,710 with destination, while the least expensive hybrid, the Sport, starts at $34,805 with destination. These are published U.S. model-year MSRPs, not guarantees of current inventory or a dealer’s transaction price.
How the six trims compare
Honda’s January 3, 2025 U.S. pricing release lists the following MSRPs. Destination-inclusive prices exclude taxes, license, registration, options, and color upgrades. EPA figures are comparison ratings; actual mileage varies.

What the base LX offers—and what costs more
LX: the entry-price choice
The LX uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder rated at 192 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 192 lb-ft of torque from 1,700 to 5,000 rpm, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Blind-spot information with Cross Traffic Monitor is not listed as standard until the SE.
SE: more equipment, but no longer sub-$30,000
The SE is the gas-powered step up from the LX. Its black 17-inch alloy wheels and black exterior accents give it a distinct look. It also adds heated front seats, a one-touch power moonroof, dual-zone climate control, a 10-way power driver’s seat with lumbar adjustment, and an eight-speaker audio system. Honda lists blind-spot information with Cross Traffic Monitor as standard on the SE and higher trims.

Hybrid trims: higher prices and different fuel-economy ratings
The Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring use Honda’s two-motor hybrid system with 204 total system horsepower and an electronic continuously variable transmission. Honda defines the 204-hp figure as peak concurrent system output; the gasoline engine and electric motor’s individual horsepower ratings should not be added together to estimate it. The hybrid gas engine is rated at 146 hp and 134 lb-ft, while the electric motor is rated at 181 hp and 247 lb-ft.
The hybrid EPA ratings differ by trim: Sport, Sport-L, and Touring are rated at 46 mpg city, 41 highway, and 44 combined; EX-L is rated at 51/44/48 mpg. Honda’s figures are EPA ratings for comparison, not a real-world mileage guarantee. The EX-L has the highest published combined rating, while the Sport, Sport-L, and Touring share the other rating.

What makes the lineup “sportier” or more capable?
The label is best understood as a description of styling, equipment, and selectable driving modes—not proof of a measured handling advantage. Honda lists Sport mode for the hybrids, alongside Normal and ECON; Individual mode is also available on hybrids. Honda’s feature guide describes a Motion Management System that coordinates steering, powertrain, and braking, but the cited manufacturer materials do not provide independent comparative handling results.
Equipment differentiates the trims beyond their powertrains. The hybrid Sport adds 19-inch wheels, Sport pedals, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and heated front seats. Sport-L adds matte-black 19-inch wheels, leather-trimmed seats, a memory driver’s seat, a power passenger seat, and a rear diffuser. Touring equipment includes Google built-in, Bose 12-speaker audio, a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, and a head-up display.

How to choose based on the price and equipment
- Choose the LX if keeping the published price below $30,000 is the priority and the listed gas powertrain and baseline equipment meet your needs.
- Consider the SE if you want its comfort additions, black styling details, and blind-spot information with Cross Traffic Monitor, and can accept a price above $30,000.
- Compare the hybrid trims if fuel economy or hybrid power is central to the decision. They all exceed $30,000 with destination; the EX-L has the highest EPA combined rating in Honda’s list.
Before treating a listed MSRP as a budget ceiling, add applicable taxes, registration and licensing costs, and any selected options, then compare dealer quotes. Honda’s figures do not establish what a particular dealer currently charges.
Safety and service details
Honda says all 2025 Accord trims include the Honda Sensing suite and describes an ACE body structure designed to help manage crash energy. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent crash-test ratings. Honda’s feature guide also states that buyers of all 2025 trims receive Honda Service Pass for the first year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, covering the first factory-scheduled maintenance; listed services include an oil and filter change, tire rotation, and multi-point inspection.
