Simone Inzaghi is second on £21.8 million after his move to Al-Hilal in the list.
Pep Guardiola: £20.7 million
Pep Guardiola ranks third, with a reported Manchester City salary of £20.7 million annually.

How reliable is a “highest-paid manager” ranking?
There is no single audited global database covering managers’ pay. Clubs, federations and managers rarely publish complete compensation packages, and media reports may use different definitions.
- Base salary versus total compensation: some figures include performance bonuses, while others are described as base-contract estimates.
- Gross, net and tax treatment: the same nominal pay can have a different value after tax. The Enterprise World notes that some Saudi-based figures may involve tax-free arrangements.
- Commercial income: endorsements and other commercial deals may be excluded from a reported coaching salary.
- Currency and conversion: a dollar list and a pound list cannot be compared without specifying the exchange-rate date and method.
- Publication date: managerial appointments can change the club, team and reported amount within months.
Why other 2025 lists look different
A July 4, 2025 Lente Desportiva version is not the same dataset. It placed José Mourinho at Fenerbahçe on £9.2 million, Thomas Frank at Brentford on £4.6 million and Jorge Jesus at Al-Hilal on £10.4 million; the October version instead lists Mourinho at Benfica (£5.2 million), Frank at Tottenham (£8 million) and Jesus at Al-Nassr (£10.4 million). The differences reflect appointments and editorial revisions during the year.
The Enterprise World’s 2025 estimate table uses dollars and a separate methodology. It reports, among other estimates, Simeone at $33.5 million, Guardiola at $26.8 million, Inzaghi at $25 million, Arteta at $20.2 million and Moyes at $16.2 million. The publication says its estimates are based on reported base contracts and may omit bonuses or commercial deals, so they are not independent confirmation of the pound figures above.
Rank #3
- Regulation-size soccer ball
- Machine-stitched construction for high durability
- Butyl bladder for best air retention
- Size 5 ball (official size) suggested for ages 12 plus
- Requires inflation
How to compare manager-salary lists fairly
- Check the publication date and the manager’s club or national-team job on that date.
- Confirm whether the amount is annual, guaranteed base pay or an estimate of total compensation.
- Identify whether bonuses, image rights, endorsements or other commercial income are included.
- Compare currencies using a stated exchange-rate date rather than mixing pound and dollar values casually.
- Check whether figures are gross or net and whether special tax arrangements apply.
The Premier League’s official 2025/26 managers page can help verify Premier League appointments and career context, but it is not a salary source.
