The best Namibia web host depends on what you are buying: local assistance, a regional server, low introductory pricing, business email or hands-on control of a server. For local support and a broad hosting range, start with Namhost; for published Namibian-dollar plans and detailed email features, compare info.na. For regional shared hosting, xneelo has a clearly itemized plan range. Hostinger advertises a lower entry price, but its listed offer requires 48 months upfront and renews at a much higher rate.
Prices and plan details below were checked on August 16, 2026, and can change. This is a feature-and-price comparison, not a ranking based on independent uptime, support-response, speed, restoration or cancellation tests. It includes eight hosting providers, one cloud-infrastructure alternative and one managed website package; those last two are not ordinary shared-hosting plans.
Quick comparison: Namibia web hosting options
Prices are in the currency shown by each provider. A price that is not published in the available plan information is marked accordingly rather than estimated. Confirm the checkout total, taxes, domain eligibility and renewal terms before paying.
| Provider or option | Best fit | Published price signal | Key published details | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Namhost | Local-oriented all-round hosting | Shared from R85/month; reseller from R358/month; VPS from R850/month | Shared, reseller, VPS, dedicated, Linux and Windows/.NET services | Prices are in rand; public plan details do not establish server location, mailbox limits or backup retention. Dedicated-server starting prices differ between the hosting page and homepage. |
| info.na hosting | Namibian-dollar billing, local communication and business email | Starter N$149/month; Business N$299/month; email-only N$299/month | Starter: one site, 5 GB SSD and five email accounts. Business: unlimited sites, 20 GB SSD, unlimited email and daily backups retained 30 days. Email-only: up to 10 mailboxes at 10 GB each. | Prices are stated to include VAT. Ask about renewal, restoration and resource limits before choosing. |
| YanaHosts Africa | Namibia-focused WordPress candidate | Not stated on the cited public information | Provider describes cPanel, SSL, one-click WordPress, local support and a 99.9% uptime SLA. | Plan-level pricing, server region, mailbox limits and backup terms are not established here; treat service claims as provider statements, not independent test results. |
| xneelo shared hosting | Regional shared hosting and multiple sites | R99–R439/month | 15–100 GB SSD; one to 20 sites/domains by tier; daily backups retained 14 days, SSL and unlimited traffic subject to acceptable-use rules. | South African provider. Its 99.9% network uptime figure is a guarantee, not measured historical availability. |
| Afrihost | Regional upgrade path to cloud or dedicated hosting | Self-managed cloud Bronze R460/month; Silver R730; Gold R860; Platinum R1,130 | Listed tiers run from 1 vCPU/2 GB RAM/100 GB storage to 4 vCPU/8 GB RAM/500 GB storage. | Self-managed cloud is not beginner-friendly shared hosting. Read the availability exclusions and acceptable-use terms. |
| Hostinger | Low promotional entry price | Premium $2.99/month, Business $3.79/month and Cloud Startup $7.99/month on listed 48-month terms; renew at $10.99, $16.99 and $25.99/month respectively | Shared and cloud options with WordPress tools and other plan-dependent features. | Promotional prices require four years upfront; confirm what domain, email and backup benefits apply to the chosen plan. |
| Namecheap | Small sites and domain-plus-hosting account convenience | Stellar displayed with a 30-day free trial, then $2.28/month under shown conditions | cPanel, one-click installs, migration and 24/7 support are listed. | Confirm billing term, renewal amount and whether the desired Namibian domain extension can be registered; support and infrastructure are not Namibia-local. |
| Hetzner web hosting | Technical users who want developer features | Plan price requires live selection; a domain is separate | S through XL tiers list 10–300 GB storage; higher tiers add databases, cron jobs, Redis, SSH and Node.js. | Do not compare its price directly with managed shared hosting; add domain costs and account for setup and administration. |
| xneelo Cloud | Developers needing configurable infrastructure | Estimated compute from R73/month for 1 vCPU/1 GB RAM, excluding storage | Configurable compute, networking and security groups; premium NVMe storage is listed separately at approximately R1.80/GB/month. | Infrastructure as a service, not managed WordPress or ordinary cPanel hosting. Budget for storage and administration. |
| info.na Managed Presence | Business wanting an outsourced basic website | Business Launch N$2,995 first year, renewing at N$2,495/year; Managed Presence N$4,990/year | Business Launch includes a one-page site, .com.na domain, three mailboxes, SSL, hosting, DNS, backups and one annual content refresh. Managed Presence adds five mailboxes and monthly checks and small updates. | A managed website service, not a general-purpose hosting plan; the listed Business Launch package excludes e-commerce and custom systems. |

Which Namibia host is best for your situation?
- Local-oriented all-round hosting: Namhost has a broad published service range, from shared plans to VPS and dedicated servers. Its prices are in rand, and the public pages do not settle every specification you may need, so request written details before committing.
- Local communication and transparent email details: info.na publishes NAD hosting prices and unusually specific email information, including mailbox size and SPF, DKIM and DMARC configuration on its email-only plan.
- Regional shared hosting: xneelo provides a straightforward tier structure for sites, storage, mailboxes and databases. It is a South African provider, not a Namibia-based one.
- Regional infrastructure upgrades: Afrihost is worth comparing if you may move from conventional hosting to cloud or dedicated services. Its published cloud tiers are self-managed.
- Low initial price: Hostinger’s listed promotional rates are attractive only when considered alongside the 48-month upfront commitment and higher renewal rates.
- WordPress with Namibia-focused support: YanaHosts markets local support and WordPress installation, but obtain current plan, backup and server-region details before treating it as a direct price comparison.
- Developer control: Hetzner web hosting or xneelo Cloud may suit technically capable users. Hetzner’s plan feature matrix includes SSH and Node.js on the L tier; xneelo Cloud lets customers configure infrastructure but bills storage separately.
- Website done for you: info.na’s managed packages are better considered as outsourced web-presence services, not hosting competitors. The Business Launch package is one page and does not include e-commerce.
How to compare the real cost
A low monthly headline can conceal a long prepayment, renewal jump, domain bill or paid add-on. This matters especially when comparing a foreign-currency promotion with a monthly NAD plan. Use the amount you will actually pay over your expected ownership period, not just the first number on a landing page.
- Write down the required commitment. Hostinger’s stated promotional prices are on a 48-month term; compare that cash commitment with genuinely monthly or annual alternatives.
- Record both entry and renewal prices. Hostinger’s listed Premium offer, for example, is $2.99/month on the stated term and renews at $10.99/month. Do not assume an introductory rate continues.
- Add domain registration and renewal. A host may not include a domain. Hetzner explicitly separates domain costs from its web-hosting packages. For one published Namibia-specific price reference, info.na lists .na at N$7,950/year and .com.na at N$1,450/year; eligibility may apply and prices are stated VAT-inclusive. Check the registrar’s current rules for the exact extension you need.
- Check tax and payment costs. Confirm VAT treatment, currency conversion and any card or bank charges at checkout. info.na states that its listed prices include VAT; do not generalize that to other providers.
- Price essential extras. Ask whether backups, restores, email, migration, SSL, malware protection, storage, snapshots or server management cost extra. A cloud compute estimate that excludes storage is not an all-in hosting cost.
- Ask about exit costs and control. Confirm cancellation terms, site migration, domain transfer authorization and whether you retain access to DNS and backups if you leave.
Namibia domain costs can outweigh hosting
Domain registration and website hosting are separate services. info.na lists .na at N$7,950 per year, .com.na at N$1,450, .info.na at N$550 and .school.na at N$350; those prices are stated to include VAT, and eligibility may apply. These are provider-listed price signals, not a guarantee that every registrar charges the same rate. Check current registration and renewal prices at the registrar before choosing an extension. See info.na’s domain and service pricing.
You do not have to register a domain with the company that hosts the site. xneelo says its domain service can be used while pointing a domain to another provider, and it includes DNS hosting; see its domain service and transfer guidance. Before paying, verify that a provider can register your required .na extension; the ability to connect an existing domain is not the same as being able to register it.
Does server location matter for a Namibia website?
It can, but “Namibia hosting” does not necessarily mean a server physically located in Namibia. It may describe a Namibian provider, local support or billing, a regional South African data centre, or an international host that accepts Namibian customers. Provider headquarters, support location, domain registrar and website server location are different facts.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
A server closer to visitors can reduce network latency, so a South African data centre may be a practical regional choice for a Namibian audience. But location alone does not establish that a site will be faster. The visitor’s network route, server capacity, caching, database performance, WordPress plugins, page weight and image optimization all affect response time. A CDN can serve cached static files from closer locations, but it does not eliminate the origin server’s role in dynamic requests.
Ask providers which data-centre region your specific plan will use and whether you can choose it. None of the provider claims summarized here establishes a comparative latency result measured from Namibian networks, so there is no evidence-based fastest-host winner. Organizations handling sensitive or regulated information should also evaluate data residency and applicable legal requirements rather than treating geographic proximity as a compliance guarantee.
Rank #3
Choose the hosting type before choosing a brand
Shared hosting
Shared hosting is usually the sensible starting point for a brochure site, small blog or basic WordPress website. Multiple customers share server resources, which generally keeps cost and administration lower than a VPS. Check site, database, mailbox and CPU limits; “unlimited traffic” does not mean unlimited processing resources.
WordPress hosting
A one-click WordPress installer makes installation easier; it does not necessarily mean the provider manages WordPress updates, plugins, staging, security or performance. Ask which maintenance tasks are included. YanaHosts describes one-click installation; xneelo also lists WordPress support and has a dedicated WordPress hosting page.
Reseller hosting
Reseller plans are for designers, developers and agencies that host multiple client accounts. Confirm whether each customer can have a separate control-panel account, what resource limits apply, and how client email and backups are handled. Namhost lists reseller hosting from R358/month.
Rank #4
VPS and cloud infrastructure
A VPS or cloud instance provides more control and can suit custom applications, growing workloads or developers needing isolated resources. It also transfers responsibility: operating-system updates, firewall configuration, monitoring, backups and incident response may be yours unless management is included. Afrihost labels its listed cloud tiers self-managed; xneelo Cloud prices compute separately from storage.
Dedicated servers
Dedicated hosting is for workloads that justify a whole physical server or require greater control. It is usually unnecessary for an ordinary small business site. Namhost lists dedicated service, but its homepage and hosting page show different starting prices, so get a current written quote rather than relying on either figure.
Managed website package
A managed presence package is for a business that wants a vendor to build and maintain a simple web presence rather than administer hosting. Check page limits, revision allowances, ownership of the domain and site files, update frequency, and what happens if you cancel. info.na’s Business Launch is one page and excludes e-commerce and custom systems.

What to verify before buying
Do not treat marketing labels such as “secure,” “unlimited” or “99.9% uptime” as substitutes for plan terms. Use this checklist to compare equivalent services:
- Website resources: storage type and capacity, databases, CPU or process limits, inode limits, allowed sites and traffic rules.
- Backups: frequency, retention, whether email is included, restore fees and how to recover a copy if the account is suspended. Keep an independent backup you control; a provider backup is not a substitute.
- Email: mailbox count and size, sending limits, spam filtering, IMAP/SMTP, webmail, SPF, DKIM and DMARC support. Business email may deserve a separate service from a website account.
- Security: SSL, malware scanning, WAF or DDoS controls, account isolation and update responsibilities. Ask what is actually included.
- Operational access: control panel, WordPress installer, SSH, Git, cron jobs, staging, DNS controls and migration help, based on what you need.
- Support: channels and hours, whether support covers applications or only the server, and whether any response time is guaranteed. Availability is not the same as a guaranteed resolution time.
- Terms and exit: refund window, cancellation process, renewal date, transfer procedure, domain authorization code and access to site files and backups.
Uptime claims and “unlimited” plans need context
An uptime guarantee is a contractual promise under stated terms, not a record of measured availability. xneelo describes its 99.9% figure as a network uptime guarantee; that does not guarantee every website application, plugin, DNS lookup or email connection works continuously. Afrihost’s hosting terms describe a 100% availability guarantee for certain server outages while excluding third-party network issues and failures between the customer and data centre. Read the applicable Afrihost hosting terms rather than interpreting 100% as an unconditional promise.
Likewise, “unlimited bandwidth” is subject to the provider’s acceptable-use rules and other resource limits. Storage, databases, CPU, inodes and email sending limits can constrain a site well before raw traffic does. For an online store or other business-critical service, ask for the exact limits and escalation path, and test the chosen plan against your application’s needs.
Practical recommendation
For a Namibian small business that values local communication, compare Namhost and info.na first, then decide whether NAD billing, a specified email package or a broader hosting ladder matters more. For a regional shared plan with a published tier matrix, compare xneelo. Choose Hostinger only after accounting for its 48-month prepayment and renewal pricing; choose a VPS or cloud instance only if you can manage it or have budgeted for management. For a simple site you want someone else to handle, assess info.na Managed Presence as a service package, not as a hosting-plan bargain.
