The XAT 2025 admit card was scheduled for download from December 20, 2024 onwards, and the exam was held on Sunday, January 5, 2025. That cycle is now complete. As of October 8, 2026, the official XAT website shows the XAT 2027 cycle, so anyone searching for a current admit card should use those dates instead of the 2025 ones.
What the XAT 2025 schedule said
The official XAT 2025 bulletin published the following timetable. Each entry is a scheduled date, not a confirmed event record.

| Stage | Date in the official XAT 2025 bulletin |
|---|---|
| Registration | July 15 to November 30, 2024 |
| Admit card download | December 20, 2024 onwards |
| XAT 2025 exam | Sunday, January 5, 2025 |
| Result | January 31, 2025 |
| Score card download | January 31 to March 31, 2025 |
The bulletin gives a start date for the admit card, not a release hour. It also states that XLRI reserves the right to modify bulletin items when necessary. The bulletin does not publish portal uptime or how many candidates downloaded their cards on the first day, so any claim about the exact moment the portal opened goes beyond what it establishes.
The bulletin directs candidates to the download at xatonline.in. The admit card was a digital document, not a physical item to be purchased or mailed.

Why the headline is out of date
The phrase “releasing tomorrow” was true only on the day before the original release. Read today, it describes an event that finished in 2024 and an exam that finished in January 2025. If you arrived here from an older link or search result, the dates above are the historical record for that cycle.
Current XAT cycle: check the official site
The official XAT website now shows the XAT 2027 cycle. Its published timetable, checked on October 8, 2026, is below.
| Stage | XAT 2027 date on the official site |
|---|---|
| Registration opens | July 15, 2026 |
| Registration closes | December 6, 2026 |
| Admit card download | December 20, 2026 (tentative, not confirmed) |
| XAT 2027 exam | January 3, 2027 |
The admit card date is marked tentative on the official site. Treat it as provisional until the institute confirms it.
How to verify dates and avoid fake offers
- Start at the official XAT website. Do not use third-party download or admission-offer pages, which are not controlled by XLRI.
- Check the year on every date you see. A 2024 or 2025 date does not apply to the 2027 cycle.
- For admission questions, use the contact details on XLRI’s official contact page. The institute publishes its admission email and phone numbers there and warns candidates about misinformation and fake admission offers.
- If a message asks for payment to release an admit card, treat it as suspicious. The official process is a digital download from the official portal.
What is and is not established
The 2025 bulletin is the primary source for the 2025 schedule. It establishes the dates listed above and the reservation clause. It does not establish release hours, download statistics, or candidate outcomes for that cycle. For current-cycle dates, the official XAT website is the only source this article relies on, and the 2027 admit card date remains tentative.
