Sportico’s 50 most valuable football clubs in 2024
The table below reproduces Sportico’s published 2024 ranking, with values in US dollars. It spans clubs from several leagues and countries, so it is a financial comparison across different league structures, not a like-for-like sporting contest.

The reproduced table lists Monterrey at rank 48 with an estimated value of $655 million, higher than several clubs placed above it. That apparent inconsistency means the entry should not be treated as a reliable position-value pairing.
What the ranking says about club values
European clubs dominate the top ten
The first four places went to Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Liverpool. Bayern Munich and Manchester City followed. Sportico’s estimates show a pronounced gap between the top ten—each valued at $3.47 billion or more—and Juventus in 11th place at $1.77 billion. These are estimates of financial value, not evidence that one club is better on the pitch.

MLS has the largest league grouping in the top 50
Twenty MLS clubs appeared in the ranking, more than from any other league grouping; the Premier League had nine. The Kansas City Star reported that the 50 clubs had a combined estimated value of about $79.6 billion. Sportico used its January 2024 MLS valuations for those clubs, so MLS figures draw on league-specific inputs rather than an identical set of club-level disclosures to those available for European teams.
How Sportico estimated the values
Sportico’s estimates drew on publicly available financial statements, Deloitte’s Football Money League, and Sportico’s own estimates where detailed information was unavailable, according to The Kansas City Star’s report on the ranking. The revenue basis covered the 2022–23 period and included broadcast, commercial, and match-day income. For MLS clubs, Sportico used its January 2024 valuations.

An estimated enterprise value is a modeled financial assessment. It is not an audited sale price, a guarantee of what a buyer would pay, or a measure of a club’s sporting quality. The figures are best read as a comparison within Sportico’s assumptions and available data.

Forbes also published a separate 2024 soccer-team ranking. Its estimates and ordering should not be substituted for Sportico’s: the publishers have distinct coverage and valuation approaches. When comparing rankings, check the publisher and valuation year, the period of revenue used, the valuation method, and which assets are included. Differences can reflect those choices rather than a change in a club’s underlying finances.
